Honestly I really doubt Bluesky is about to change up anything. If twitter is a hellhole then all the same people who help make it a hellhole will just go somewhere else thus making it another hellhole. I wonder if twitter is a hellhole because these people are just creating arguments so having an echo chamber with others who share the same opinions and beliefs might actually be better though that was tumblr and we know how that turned out so it’s a temporary solution at best. I can’t predict the future but I can say for sure that artists from twitter that bluesky will realize that the site actually allows stuff like image scraping to happen. They don’t even deny this like it’s in their tos. Also I see twitter and bluesky becoming very politically divided or at least more so, it’ll be like tumblr and twitter but this time twitter will have a more right wing slant in its Western user base.

But according to my friend, it was a toxic place before that insecure billionaire took it over and made it even worse. But at the same time, he bans anyone making fun of him or mocking him. And he even bans the word "cis". To which I guarantee you, he doesn't even know what it means. For the other app, again, I do not have an account over there. It’s up to you to decide if it’s valid or not. Only issue is the algorithm which does boost outrage posts Bluesky is a tailored experience due to massive mod tools on the site and for users but it can come at the cost of freedom. Entire blocklists can be made and shared with users. You won’t hear or see things you don’t wanna hear or see, but that’s the problem in the event that important info ends up blocked

(Explicitly highlighting the "former" here, I left that awful site I think at least a year ago now) The reason Twitter users retweet what makes them outraged is to summon their army of like-minded people to effectively yell at the person who tweeted it in an attempt to get them to not post such content in the future.
