You all asked for it so here it is. This time my brother reacts to some 'harder hitting' BTS dance practices. I also react to the Spring Day dance practice for the first time!

You know why you see Kpop idols in their dance practices wearing a lot of layers, and often what we would think of as street clothes, instead of workout wear or "dance shoes"? One reason is because it helps build up endurance and to condition their bodies to be able to dance on stage with their stage outfits and not be affected. Why it looks so effortless on stage and like they hardly even exert themselves or sweat some times, is because their body has become used to being dressed in layers while working hard while wearing heavy, "street" shoes. Its kind of like if you spend a lot of time in a sauna, after a while your body gets used to the heat and you can endure more heat for longer periods of time. :D You should also keep in mind, that Kpop "dance practice" videos aren't really "practice" videos. Most of the time they are filmed in their dance studios and they are practicing the choreography, but a company won't release a group's dance practice footage until the group has perfected the dance and can perform it perfectly. The point of "dance practice" videos is to show off the choreography and to highlight the dance skills of the members. Kpop groups and companies started releasing dance practice videos about 10 years ago, after they discovered that fans were copying the dances and really wanted to learn the choreography. 'Dance Practice" videos are more like dance highlight or dance performance videos. For example with BTS, the members probably spent about 10 hours a day for at least a week in the dance studio learning and perfecting this choreography and they didn't release this footage until they were able to pull it off flawlessly. And, of course, its one take with no cuts because they have to be able to dance this full choreography live in concert and on music programs so you can't cut live performances. They have to be able to dance it perfectly from beginning to end , that's why they practice so hard and for so long to make sure its perfect But just because its one take, does not mean it was done on the first try, they probably danced this choreography hundreds of times before they were perfect. This was just the take that they decided to release to the public. Most Kpop group's are very good at dancing and after spending about a week learning the dance they usually have the dance down to a point where they can do it perfectly without a whole lot of effort. After all, if you spend your career learning a new dance for every new song release, and you have to know dozens of dances for each concert tour, and you are expected to do it all flawlessly, you need to be able to pick up on the choreography pretty quickly. You probably won't actually ever see them learning the choreography in their "dance practice" videos, and most likely you won't ever see any obvious mistakes or moves that aren't done almost perfectly, because their company won't release any of that footage -- they wait until a group has perfected everything. However, dance practice videos do give you a clear and full few of their full choreography, so if you are a fan that really wants to learn the dance, watching a "practice" video is a great way to do that. Its also a fun way to enjoy their dancing and to appreciate them for the amazing dancers that they are. On average Kpop stars spend about 10 hours or more a day in the dance studio for a week learning a new set of choreography and then they spend about a month perfecting the moves before they debut it in a music video, on music programs, on variety shows and in concert. Almost all main track Kpop songs have choreography even if you don't see any dancing in their MVs because they have to be able to perform the song live at music programs, award shows and in concert, etc. and they can't do that without having choreography to go with the song. BTS are amazing dancers, but really they aren't that unique when it comes to Kpop. There are dozens of other groups, and hundreds of MVs, dance practices and live performances you need to check out. You will soon discover that this level of perfection is just the norm in Kpop. Broaden your view and check out all that Kpop has to offer, BTS is not the only amazing group. I think you will find there are lots of groups and dancers you will enjoy. Kpop is known for its level of detail and how everything strives for a level of perfection that is unmatched by anything you have ever seen or heard in the western music industry. None of it is simple or easy.

I feel like he can see and even admit how difficult the choreographies are especially when they have to sing and rap during it but genuinely doesn't want to become a fan. And for me, I'm ok with that. I'm sry if other army's seem to be abrasive but I think it's coming from a place of trying to figure out if his disinterest is coming from boredom and the wanting to make another army. With all that said, I think it's majorly sweet that he is doing this with you. You have a sweet relationship 💜

He has slowly started to admit to the difficulty behind it all. In the first 2 videos we did together he didn't want to have a bar of it, now I've actually managed to get him to watch some of their live stuff off camera and he really is impressed, so I see that as a bonus; he may not be Army, but he's beginning to understand what it's all about! As for seeming like he's bored... that's just my brother's personality, he seems disinterested but is actually just not as good at expressing himself as he would like to be, especially with the camera on.

They wear the name tags because in Korean music shows or awards, there are a lot of artists and groups, a punch of people being on stage. The production team are not their personal staff from their company so it's hard for the production team to remember all these names in a short time. They need the names to arrange and fix the stage performance, how the camera gonna work, which artist to be focused in which scene. That's why they always have the name tags while rehearsing. After that they take it off in the real performance when all the camera work has been arranged perfectly, and the details of the performance have been fixed.

That version of their MIC Drop dance practice which includes the dance break is what you would see during their 2017 MAMA Live Performance that they did in Hong Kong or Seoul (I don’t remember which one). ‘Dance Break’ is what they do during majority of their live performances since they sing itself isn’t very long so they keep audience attention by bringing out the back up dancers to create a dance break where they sometimes show individuality of dancing or as a group!

Suga aka yoongi used to b-boy and was a pretty good one too unfortunately when he was a trainee he was in a accident and for fear of being kicked out he didn’t tell anyone in the company (so he basically went through training with a busted shoulder) and it didn’t heal correctly so it’s difficult to do certain dance moves. Also, jungkook was sent to the USA for a year or two to train for dance when he was a trainee

It was just for a month. His training was more of putting emotion (the feels, just like V does) while he is dancing/performing. Jungkook was such a shy boy before their debut that's why (I think/belisvs) he seemed to not able to show the passion while dancing.

He is only 18, but yes, he is a working dancer. He was actually cast as the lead dancer in the new Dora film but had to pull out due to other commitments. And yeah... little brothers can be trying *sigh* haha

In korea idols are told that if they have a malfunction on stage with like clothes or mic packs that they should fix it without it getting in the way of there dancing or singing they get taught how to do it and go through practices and if you look on certain live videos you can see them taking care of there inconveniences on stage very professionally.

I think it would have been a bit better if you asked viewers to recommend you the high energy choreos that your bro might respond to. I personally wouldn't play Spring day or butterfly dance practice for him coz he's probably not into contemporary from the looks of things. Just an honest opinion. I am planning on starting a series on my channel where I give myself 30 minutes to learn a BTS dance and then perform it, no matter how good or bad it looks. Unfortunately, it will probably just be me as my brother lives in a different city to me. Musical talent, whether it be composition, production, singing, or dancing, regardless of the genre or whatever, there is no such thing as "I don't understand what or why they did that." People like familiarity so they stick to what they know. That being said, Kpop is viewed as a genre. Therefore, a person's first reaction to unfamiliar content will be bias. That's just the truth. Like it or not, it's how we humans operate. And most of the time, that reaction is used as an excuse to avoid learning something new as it is unfamiliar.

He also tends not to express his feeling too much as a person anyway.
