with honor you get 1) better software(when it comes global) 2)3d face unlock which might seem unimportant but once you get used to it it feels awesome, trust me 3) significantly better speakers. The differences of the rest, e.g. camera, cpu, screen, battery are negligible.

@@thelastyaksha apparently honor said there will be an update this month in december which have a better / new algorithm for the camera system, especially telephoto shots, AI stuff ur phone does after u take a shot. honor uses still an old version when it comes to zoom shots for example. (there are some short videos that say "after the update" but never rly specify if it was the update or not, kinda weird & hard to proof which ones are just clickbait or not) might be still "worse" than the vivo since vivo uses a HP9 sensor while honor uses still an HP3. but it will be prob a way closer match in terms of zoom quality.

I feel the only downside to the Honor is the pill shape camera, but at least it isn't as large as the iphone. Both cameras seem good, but the Vivo x200 seems a little over saturated and I like that Honor has a wider view. The Honor display is meant to be easier on your eyes aand have some of the best sounding speakers on a smart phone.

Looking at in-depth camera comparisons, it's very hard to pick because every time I say to myself "oh yes the Vivo wins this category." It's quickly followed by "oh no the Honor is better in this category," and so on throughout. The colours are slightly different too, so I guess it's which camera/vocal length/video mode is more important to people & of course as you said the Software. I tend to lean towards the colouring on the Honor, and some of the portraits and such to my eye seemed to have better detail, but ugh, Vivo defo outperforms in some areas. And here lies the reason I still haven't chosen a phone, after trying to decide since June last year. Waiting to see the OPO2 cameras & the FindX8 Ultra and then I really have to pick something because it's getting ridiculous.

honor gets an update which will improve camera. i doubt it will massively change anything but there are some issues (especially zoom algorithm) that will get fixed.

I'd just throw a coin between x200 pro and hm7p if you want a phone now, otherwise Vivo x200 ultra seems promising. Either way you will end up with an amazing phone, I am now having a bit of a buyers remorse for getting hm6p instead of waiting one more year lol.

A big difference for me is that the vivo has macro on the telephoto lens, where the honor has it on the wide angle. If you like maxro photography the vivo is a mich better system

The white and titanium X200 Pro comes with a clear case, while the black and blue comes with a case similar to their color. I agree that they should've included a matching case to all variants.

Also worth mentioning the Honor Magic 7 Pro has DisplayPort connectivity while the Vivo doesn't. The software allows you to map it into a desktop-like experience if you want as well.

the zoom is the only real difference id say. vivo wins that point easily. still ill go for honor once the international version is sold. mainly because huawei/their sub companies just have my trust in term of longevity (writing this on a 6 year old mate 20 pro which works perfectly fine). also i dislike the look of the back of the vivo. already not a big fan of the honor but the vivo looks even more ugly compared to it.

Tough choice Average Dad. Both these smartphone are beautiful design. Each of these two have advantage and disadvantage whether performance, multitasking, camera, etc. If users want more better performance with AI ecosystem, go Honor Magic 7 Pro. If users want beautiful spectacular photography, go Vivo X200 Pro. You missing Oppo Find X8 Pro over this video. I'm glad you update it. Merry Christmas for Average Dad.

The zoom is better on the Vivo but that phone suffers from bad lens flare and no software can fix that. Plus it doesn't have a very fast shutter over the Honor which I've seen in some reviews. Overall images look better to my eyes on the Honor except at full zoom

The Vivo does not have "bad" lens flare. There is lens flare yes, but it is still a lot less than with the other brands. I agree that ideally it shouldn't have that, given their past track record, but let's not over exaggerate here.
