Sorry again about the ads, this vid got copyright claimed (absolute shock). You know what to do. Also I wish i could've talked about Need For Speed Unbound but it just came out way too recently for me to be able to halt editing and go back to account for it. I like that game a lot.

Damn, you know this video's taken a while when the old Patreon logo is used. And yeah, Unbound is pretty good. I heard that Criterion was basically allowed to do whatever they wanted for the most part (A$AP not withstanding). Maybe that explains its quality, especially compared to MW2012, which feels like an EA game more than a Criterion game

This video is incredible. The amount of effort on display here, the runtime, the pacing, the selection of backing tracks, the occasional quip to keep the entertainment levels up, and a compelling topic for people who enjoy reminiscing about arcade racers, all put together so well that I didn't even notice the 1:23:14 runtime fly by. It's like Stuart Brown/XboxAhoy on steroids. Seriously. Incredible work. I can only imagine how many hours went into this. If I put even half as much effort into my work as this, man.. Regarding the topic, I have two things to say. One, there is another arcade racer that's gone completely missing and become vaporware, is a borderline ancient Virgin Interactive title called Ignition, a top-down racer that, while pretty basic in terms of how much content it contained, still had a ton of charm and character that I still remember fondly from my childhood years. I've always wanted to see a remake of it, at one point even considering taking up that task on my own, but as this video I've just finished watching has proven, this is not a goal that should be taken lightly. The second thing to mention is.. if what you're asking and looking for is an arcade racer, then there is one place you can find that -- The Arcade, ironically. Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, a game series by Bandai Namco, released only on arcade machines(though there are ways to emulate it today on PC), featuring the music of Yuzo Koshiro, a videogame soundtrack giant in his own right, is an arcade racer that still offers the joys of true arcade racing, while still managing to tread the knife edge with real world car licenses, and pair that with the story and setting of Wangan Midnight, a manga series produced by the Drift King himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya, five years before Initial D was even published. The catch is, of course - it's an arcade game, so every play costs you just under 3 dollars in most arcades across Australia. Anyway, that's my two cents. Best of luck reaching the 1M mark. You are well on your way with content like that.
