The Flying with Ron series continues. It’s a family affair. So cool to see your abode from that height. Dad is proud. And can’t believe its a free ride and gets paid. I just finished paying my student loans last November. Cool to see the money breakdown. All we need is Janis handing out her famous cookies after the flight. You can charge an arm and a leg for that experience 🍪🛩️. With all your footage, where do you store all your footage?

I would be proud too, we just recently paid off the rest of our daughter’s college loans!!!!! Once all the videos are up on KZbin we delete the raw footage, but I could still download and make a montage…..can’t charge to take folks up….against the rules!!!

Ron, you are flying's best ambassador. The best part of flying has always been introducing others to the joys of flight. Well done!

He definitely has every reason to be very proud of Averie . That would be pretty cool for them to train at the same time . I am getting ready for a Bahamas cruise soon and I've never been there so definitely looking forward to it. As always thanks for sharing the great videos with us all and blessings to you and your entire family!

Training at the same time would definitely be a competition!! I hope you love the Bahamas - it is such a beautiful place. You’ll have to let us know what you think.

Good luck on flying again. Getting my pilot’s license was the most exciting thing I’ve done in my life. I saw you take off at Stearman Field. 👍👍👍👍 Blue Skies Dave Major

I hope Leighton takes it up again, I didn't get my PPL until I turned 60 and I agree was one of the best things I've ever done. We've flown all over and chronicled most of our adventures, but we really enjoy sharing aviation with others . . . hope to meet you at Stearman one day . . . Thanks for watching!

Ha! Taking whole families up for some much needed vitamin F! I hope Averie and her dad will start flying lessons together. Great father-daughter thing!!! I have this flying school buddy that does it with his 16 yo son. The youngster has already done his first solo. They seem to go in a faster pass. I don't understand this whole 'I'm good' saying though. I think Americans mean they don't like something. It is a bit confusing. Just like when us Dutch say, that we find something interesting, we are honestly interested. Need more Dutch directness 🤭 Did Janis find some sweet while you guys were out there?? 😁
@Parr4theCourse7 ай бұрын
Yes I’m good simply means I’m done/finished just more polite to say “good” vs “done/finished” sounds so final😜🤪
@janisparr85927 ай бұрын
We had a great time with them. I know Americans have so many idioms/slang terms - it makes it impossible to know what we mean!!! No sweets this day - lots of good conversations with Leighton and Averie, though!
@dutchygirl7 ай бұрын
Aaaah! @@Parr4theCourse So "I'm good" basically always means some kind of a 'no'. I think it is weird not just saying what is really going on. Dutch would just say 'I'm done' or 'I don't like this', or more politely 'no, thank you', or a thanks with at "but" and short explanation following. Now with my previous comment, I do still hope Averie and her dad will start flying lessons, but I'm not sure. Maybe dad was just a bit overwhelmed by the opportunities you gave him. On my first ever GA flight, I didn't even dare to ask to steer a bit though it was part of the package. I did ask a lot of questions what I, as a total greenie, could do in case the pilot would get incapacitated. I kinda freaked that guy out. Now I brief my instructor on this every flight on all the options as if they were a greenie too. It took me quite some time to take immediate charge of everything. I just felt respectless taking the lead with a real pilot sitting next to me. My instructors really had to push me to make my own decisions and just go for it. How things could change! 😎 I love it how you invite people for a spin, take efforts to explain things and being so kind in general!!! 😃

Nice chats can be very fulfilling too, @@janisparr8592 😃 Since I think my basic English is pretty good, I can dive into differences and more slang. By now I do understand about 95% of all what Americans are saying, even when not knowing all spoken words. Finding the exact right words to reply is another level. It is mostly somewhere in my memory, but sometimes I need to find it. Every country has its own specialties to learn more about. Same here, but merely sayings and more street language and Dutch directness could be a thing. We basically just always say what is really on our mind without any or much hesitation 😬😅
