I use to work for this company about 10 years ago. They are a great company to work for. They keep new equipment and if you notice, they always look neat. I left for more money, A couple of more ltl carriers pay more, this was my reason for leaving. The CEO did walk around and shook each man hand. I left on good terms and would be eligible for rehire. great company.

How much days is orientation for local positions?

Orientation for our drivers happens every week on Monday-Thursday! They do a road test, a DOT physical and DOT drug screen and take a tour of the service center. They also have hiring paperwork and computer-based training videos that they are required to do.

Ok i apply and they not even call me and everytime i call i leave voicemail and i never resive calls back so probably i search another place

Hi! Our orientation is now virtual, so you will not have to travel to Cookeville for training. If there is any need for an onsite visit, it will be to the service center that is closest to you.

If I apply for Averitt out of Tampa will the training and orientation be held here or do I have to fly to another state for the orientation??

I'm about to go to truck school but I have a few questions. How many days are you home a week ? how much do new drivers make the first year? And if you live 151 mile away from the nearest Averitt place could you still work there? I looked it up on google maps and I'm 1 mile more than the 150 miles or less requirement lol

TheBeast You will be able to work for Averitt man. I'm an Dedicated Shoe Carnival Truck driver for Averitt. I'm home usually 1,23 days the maximum. But it depends on what you go for and what route you get. What are you planning on doing for Averitt ?
