I took my young teens to their first concert to see Avi at the end of last year. It was a smaller venue so there was a lot of back and forth with the audience. There was a man in the audience that I think sums Avi's sound the best. He yelled, "Your voice is like a warm hug!". Avi's reply: " Well, Snuggle up, 'cause I'm gonna be huggin' ya all night, brother!" 😆

I agree with your thoughts of Avi. I think what our connection with Avi (aside from the obviously amazing vocals) is that through his lyrics, he shares himself. It's like a relationship, and Avi has shared his soul with us and shown his vulnerability. When someone opens their heart to you, it's something special. Then add his amazing voice, and it is magic.

The Kaplans always passed through Aberdeen on their way to visit his maternal grandparents who owned a pack station. and his mother was raised there. He once said he loved the word Aberdeen and even when he was young wanted to write a song about it. I think he did a great job of fulfilling that wish. Once again, a great job reacting to Avi.

Avi had a "calling" to bear his heart and soul through his music, and he followed that "calling." His voice is so smooth and soothing to my soul, and I'm sure it's the same to many others. He is such a humble man. What a beautiful voice, and what a meaningful song. Great reaction, Nick. Thank you ❤

Avi is a Healer of broken souls. Thanks Nick Great Choice. I agree with you about how Avi just can plug in like a direct feed to one's soul. you really feel his music. I am so Happy he is solo. He has said he hadn't ridden in awhile and felt nervous , well 1. He has a great seat and 2. That Horse was calm and collected in his gate. They don't do that with a nervous rider. So Good Job Avi. it's not easy to be calm on a 1000 lbs. of muscle at any gate (or speed) so he has some natural abilities to be able to calm himself and give the Horse an Honest ride. I can not wait for a new Avi album!

Such a great song! On the 'Lean on Me' EP he has alternative versions of some of the songs from the 'I'll Get By' EP. The alt version of 'Aberdeen' is much lower and slower and gives a completely different vibe from this one. Avi has said that he used to ride competitively as a child but hadn't been on a horse for a long time before shooting this video. Something he paid for over the next couple of days! Anyway, there's plenty of earlier Avi songs still waiting for. Have you heard 'Song for the Thankful' yet? Great reaction as always.
