Beautiful song. Avi makes great music. Definitely a support in dark times. Thanks for watching.

It's a good sign when Avi starts whistling at the end. He often says that, since early childhood, he always whistled when he was happy.

Avi has a way of touching ones soul. I believe that many have felt that way.

I I found him through Pentatonix of course followed him since the beginning of their journey and as he split off in 2017 to follow his own path. I have to say Avi has become 1 of my all time favorite artists. I never realized that I liked folk music until I listened to his songs and then I found out I do. Music just hits something it connects with so many people and means so much!

Thanks, Saeed 😊! It is always a pleasure to hear your interpretation of Avi's music. Just for your information, this was filmed at Avi's cabin and land in Tennessee. The waterfall at the end was the painting above Avi's head at the beginning. I read somewhere ( I don't know if true) that his mother painted it. Have a wonderful day, cheers!

TX Saeed. I think the reason why you are loved and appreciated is due to the fact that you pay real attention to lyrics. Greetings from South Africa

When he began carrying the bag, he insisted he have real stones in his bag but put wads of paper in the bags of others.. His father is a retired physical education teacher and a private workout coach. Avi has also pushed himself physically like his dad.

I knew you would like this song; Avi is very in-touch with his feelings & they come out in his lyrics. Everyone has "baggage" of some kind that we carry around that weighs us down. His music video beautifully describes the weight & burden this toll has on us. I always enjoy your heartfelt commentary Saeed, Thx for reacting to this great song. 😅

Yes, there were obstacles and difficulties off of the path, but he also found others with whom to share his journey. I have heard that Avi insisted on carrying real rocks inside of his burden. I did not see that information directly, though, just repeating what someone else has posted on other reactions to this song. Thank you for yet another wonderful reaction. I always enjoy your perspective on songs (especially Avi and Ren). May your burdens be light.

This song helped give me strength (still does) when I needed it most. "I'll get by" became my mantra. The music and lyrics are great, and then the video adds another layer. For me, with my personal struggles, I felt very alone. This video depicts that feeling very well. I also appreciated that others also had their troubles on their backs, and they followed Avi. This shows how we are not alone and Avi is guiding the way out. Trust in the meaning, because we can all get by. Very powerful words and song.

Thank you for another heartfelt reaction to Avi’s music. His music and lyrics have helped me through some dark times, he really touches our souls. Someone has said that Avi’s music lives inside of us, which I find is a beautiful way of describing it. Btw, I think his song titles are all taken from the songs themselves, except for “Uncanny valley”.

Avi has had emotional and mental issues pretty much his entire life. More tender, not only under stress but with others as well. PTX went from a grueling, many week of the sing off to being on the road without much of a break at all. Someone who is not a hyper sensitive person can endure, but Avi is hypersensitive and the constant travel, no breaks, flying from here to there and all that is involved in that life. began to wear him down. Toward the end, before he left PTX, his Mother was having a cancer relapse and the group would not even slow down long enough to fly home to see her. Pressure upon pressure was wrecking him. The only thing that kept him alive was that his older sister, who understood his sensitivities was the manager for PTX and so he had her to lean on, but it was still too much. When he left, PTX sued him, not allowing him to use his real name for 3 years, not allowing him to own any of his music he wrote while with them. This all but destroyed his solo career. He used the name Avriel and the Sequoias for his first solo EP. Many not knowing this, lost interest thinking he had just gone away. It took him years to recover but he kept on writing and singing. He was determined to heal and has found a lot of healing. In this video, you see him walking away from his cabin deep in the woods and his wooded land (1000 acres) has greatly contributed to his healing. He take long walks, sits on his porch or his back deck and writes. In 2023, he spent a lot of time back home with his family. He said he had a rough year and needed to be near them. Avi lives near Nashville, Tennessee and so does his sister, her husband and his niece who is the apple of his eye and he hers. He has a brother and his parents live in California where he was born and raised, very near the Great Sequoia National Park. one of his favorite places. Those of us who have hyper sensitivity disorder are wound differently. We never get to be as normal. We must keep a rather stiff routine, and not let others throw us out of that.

Absolutely sickening of PTX to treat Avi this way & have no compassion about his Mother's illness. I'm so glad Avi had the courage to leave and do what was best for him! Thx for the info Pam, many of us didn't know.

This trailer video was produced and posted back in 2020 by Avi's record label, Fantasy Records, to promote his "I'll Get By" EP. He talks about what he was doing after leaving PTX, the struggles he worked through, and what he hopes his music does to help others. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJTLiGiAbdaKbZY and then there's this short video where he specifically talks about the song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2S5nHR6l7umhtk
