LYRICS:
Keep walking keep talking keep climbing to the summit
Keep shaming keep taming those voices in my mind
Oh
Straight face same game I can’t shake what I’m becoming
No pain and no gain yeah I’ve fallen out of line
Oh
Settling down settling down to the summit
Looking around over the clouds all alone
Waiting around waiting around all I wanted was my home
Oo I know it won’t be long
Oo and I’ll keep walking on
Air’s thin I can’t win but I still keep runnin
Can’t breath can’t see but I’m headed for that light
Oh
Settling down settling down to the summit
Looking around over the clouds all alone
Waiting around waiting around all I wanted was my home
Oo I know it won’t be long
Oo and I’ll keep walking on

Tim Foust has hit some crazy low notes... We're talkin like 2 octaves lower than the notes Avi is hitting here (ok, that's a little bit of an exaggeration but at least an octive lower)... Avi is capable of hitting lower notes but in this song he decides to keep it higher in the low range... In fact I'm a baritone singer and I'm able to keep up with this range... There are a lot of notes that Avi hits that I can't hit but in this song I'm able to keep up with him note for note.

Avi was great and really contributed to Pentatonix. Now that he’s moved on they are still just as good. They have not missed a beat. Avi has too much substance to be anything but a lead singer. He’s just too talented. I loved both groups. They’re both amazing. Pentatonix was a path in life he took and I’m sure he has no regrets. I miss him being a part of the group but the show must go on and they’re all killing it. I can’t see anything but success coming in both their direction. Avi has a beast of a voice. It’s so pure. Todays singers need everything including the kitchen sink to enhance their voice. That can not be said about Avi nor Pentatonix. Just pure talent, each member bringing raw talent each time they drop a beat. They can’t be compared, they’re both doing different things. As far as I’m concerned now there’s more quality music for me to enjoy while living my best life.

It's because Avi studied opera in college. When you study opera, your voice becomes smooth all the way up and down the entire register, your vocal range expands in both directions, you learn how to incredibly use consonants for dramatic impact, you learn to create the pure vowels that create beauty of sound, you also learn how to use the voice for maximum emotion and expressiveness. He also would have learned music theory there which contributes to his excellent chord sequences and voicings (how the chord is stacked up vertically, root/3rd/5th/7th if applicable). Anyone wanting to really be a true singer, you can't go wrong studying opera! It's a great basis for all kinds of other singing. You learn total control of the voice, but total freedom of the voice at the same time. Plus your projection and resonance will grow and expand, you learn placement of the pitch and how to manipulate head voice/chest voice and the percentages of these in the sound you envision creating (or a growl down low or whatever). You really learn basically do to anything you imagine yourself doing! As long as you can accept what your natural voice part is, haha.

@@cherwynambuter7873 I love your comment, thank you so much for the information especially about Avi, tips me even more towards my obsession of opera. Hey, I think we shouldn't limit ourselves to any vocal part! :)

I will say pentatonic's, they had something singing. no band no instruments, just your voices amazing. But when it comes down to it ...samples, they were using other people's music to make music, which was amazing. No doubt about it. But if anyone has in their mind, what Avi is doing original truth original true to himself, the music that he is making compared to what pentatonic was doing. It's so much more than the sampling of what pentatonic was. The are several people that said they were holding this man back. From true music creation and genius.💯

I know Avi will never see this but i just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart. His music is pioneering a new genre of music with meaning and soul uniquely different but similar. His voice is so powerful, soulful, smooth, rich, emotion filled, penetrating and unique. I have not heard a voice quite like it in all my many years (long time lol) No matter what he sings the beauty of his voice is once in a lifetime sound. You pair that with beautifully written and produced music with depth and meaning, there really isn't words to described it's influence on all who are lucky enough to hear it. Thank You so very much Mr. Avriel Benjamin "Avi" Kaplan. You share your knowledge, talent and gift with us and all the kids you mentor in Acapella Academy and other endeavors. You are an amazing artist and person. THANK YOU.
