I have 2 of these and never thought about doing this. Thank you for the idea.

Is it possible to have the black levers set as one lever but be set to both 1 and 2 engine reverser?

Absolutely amazing man! I'm probably gonna use a very simlar design

After reading FUIPC manual, it appeared that you could just "sync" throttles by a click of a button. Do you have to use the LUA scripts too or is that better than the programs inherent way of keeping the throttles synced?
@AviationPro7 жыл бұрын
+Gregory Rimmer I believe that sync button is only to actually sync the throttles with one press, but as soon as you move the lever again, they are out of sync. You would have to constantly press that button to keep your throttles in sync. The Lua script does that for you, and it's just a matter of copying the script file into the FSUIPC folder :)

I really like how you have the inner reverser knobs fit with the throttles, great idea! Very cool

Thanks! It works pretty well :)

Just saw this 5 years later. I have a couple sons that have 3d printers. Going to see if they can make these.

Thanks! Because I'm studying, but in two weeks time I will have time to produce VATSIM videos again :)

Hi +aviationpro! So glad you are doing a video on this product! I have the PMDG 737 NGX, and panning down to look at those controls is very difficult, since I also need to look at the instruments. I have a registered copy of FSUIPC, and a modification for the throttle quadrant is exactly what I'm looking for. However, since I don't want to go through the struggle of the woodworking and painting aspect of the process, I'm thinking about purchasing a 737 attachment package from Cockpit PhD. If I have those components, do you think I'll be able to program the controls as you're doing in this video? Thanks!
@AviationPro7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! :) Yes those things should work pretty well. Physically nothing about the throttle changes, you are just replacing the default knobs with 737-style 'knobs', so you can still program everything the same way as I showed in this video :).

@AviationPro, is there anything extra you had to set in FSUIPC or in sim directly to make it work correctly? I have to problems: 1. Spoilers: I used range between 50-75% (2048 - 10879) for "arm" position and ~87-100% (14591 - 16383) for "down". However, when tested in plane, the arm position is triggered when I move the lever to the range of ~76-78% only, not the one I set in FSUIPC. If I move the handle to 75% or below, it acts like normal axis and move the flaps up. The "up" position is triggered just above the "arm" one. There is no space recognized like I set in FSUIPC 2. Throttle For each engine I use separate lever (x4) and each of them was calibrated to use full range of axis. However, so far I see that engines get 100% of power when I move quadrant handles to ~73% position, not sure how to set it so it will equal in plane and quadrant. Generally I prefer to make entire setup in FSUIPC instead of sim (P3Dv4) so I can use different profiles. That's why I wiped all axis controls from sim settings but for tests I tried to use them as well and changed sensitivity of levers. Unfortunately I do not see a difference. Engines get full power too early on quadrant's axis.
@AviationPro6 жыл бұрын
For the spoilers it seems you are confusing the flaps and the spoilers axis. For the throttle, make sure you not just assign the axis, but also calibrate it in the calibration tab of FSUIPC, otherwise it might not use the full range of the throttle.

But it looks good. At least it's better than simple desk joystick with 4 axis. Aeleron. Elevator. Rudder and throttle and 10 buttons. Here you have nice Cessna yoke and real double throttle with flaps... And it doesn't cost 100p dollars...
@hunterfagan62727 жыл бұрын
how did you get a yoke with a usb?
@NissePvP7 жыл бұрын
TupolevPilot You buy a yoke with USB
@AviationPro7 жыл бұрын
Each yoke is indeed USB, but the throttle that comes with it has a PS/2 connector. However, if you buy a throttle quadrant separately, it will have a USB connection, not PS/2.
@hunterfagan62727 жыл бұрын
AviationPro ok. I actually meant throttle quadrant. Not yoke. My Pro flight yoke had issues, so they gave me another one with another throttle quadrant, but it has the ps2, so i can't use it
@AviationPro7 жыл бұрын
If you still have the old yoke, and the connectors on the back still work, you can also plug in the 2nd quadrant via your old yoke.

Hello, very nice and thank you very much for this info. Maybe you wil also take us on tour how you change your views during flight. I have chaseplain but to see nice around the cockpit and outsite as you show into your videos is difficult how you do that. So flying is difficult but look as around maybe more. A problem that real pilots not have of course. Bye and thanks again. Tot ziens ;)
@AviationPro7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don't really have any addons for changing views, I just use the hat switch on the Saitek yoke to look around and I have assigned my arrow keys to move the eyepoint in the cockpit (that's a standard Prepar3D function), that's it :). In some videos, I use FaceTrackNoIR to make nice cockpit shots.
