The "I'm breaking, we're fading" part isn't a Friendship reference technically, only the part that follows right after that "feels like after all this time, we should have known we'd be here tonight". But they all have similar chord progressions, which is probably why they sound familiar to you. There's even a bit of forshadowing in the instrumental at 1:40. Funny thing is, that part is also in the original 2013 Find Me, so it's almost as if Meet You At The End referenced Find Me first.

The tone of this is beautiful in a way I can't recall in any other song. It's filled with hope and love with a sad undertone and power as if it's in a battle to return to that happiness, but at the same time gentle to show it's a battle of determination, as if they're steeling themselves to make it back to the one they love no matter how long or what it takes. I'm not familiar with the story people are saying it's based off of, but the beauty of art is leaving the beholder to interpretation, and this is a masterpiece so I'm more then happy to give my take away on it

Serously, I'm crying, since this song convinced me to write one of the most emotional scenes in my whole trilogy. Two of my beloved characters will share a last moment of their deep relationship and one of them won't survive. Actually I didn't want to write a scene that is still to come in the far future of the novel but... Well, how can one resist after finding such an emotional and brilliant song that is up to 100 % made for this scene! Thank you so much for this song, if the scene turns out the way I want it to, then credits partly go to you and your music as well!

I know right??? Aviators is the best way to find inspiration while writing. I'd love to read what you wrote, fellow creator!
@rayamay76104 жыл бұрын
@@Flymerick Well, it is written in German and I hesitate to publish it, since it is the end of my trilogy and it is far from being finished - I cannot tell whether the scene will be the same after I wrote the whole book (I only have the beginning of book three, then I had to follow the Idea of another book). But now I am curious - what kind of stuff do you write? I love to write fantasy with demons, gods and all and I like to write relationships between characters, may they be friends or family or even enemies. I love emotional scenes and dramatic plottwists, either to save a charakter or to bring him to his downfall. And there always has to be at least a little bit philosophy hidden in my books - makes it all more intriguing, more faszinating and more realistic, too. And let's be honest - my characters must sometimes think that I am a bully - after all I am often enough far from being kind to them. So - how about you?
@Flymerick4 жыл бұрын
@@rayamay7610 I can totally relate on everything you said😄 It's ok to hesitate to publish it, as long as you don't stop writing! I like to hide philosophy in my story as well, you know? It's one of the main reason I write. I believe in a better world! My story is about a New York boy named Anton that one day is visited by Gahael, a traveler of realities with golden eyes who explores the universe looking for people to help. He was born into the Phlogistus, a place outside reality where "no time is found", and has the capacity of seeing others' emotions. Because of this, he swore to give his best to prevent others from feeling pain, that appears to his eyes as a horrible illness. The two begin a journey through the Void of Gates and discover a distopic company, known as Pulvis et Umbra, that want to catch Gahael to study him and artificially reproduce his powers. During the journey they'll meet other people who will join the party, forming a group of traveler named "the Breach Repairers". Sorry for the wall of text, ahah! It's been hard for me to summarize the story in english :/ I'm writing in Italian so we sadly can't read each other's works, but you never stop dreaming! Keep up the good work, my friend \(^o^)/
@rayamay76104 жыл бұрын
@@Flymerick Well, it sounds like a story that is worth to be read :) I totally would, if I could. Or perhaps I learn Italian one day - I'm planning it for a long time now at least. About the summarizing issue - well, I find it hard enough to summarize my stories in my mother tongue, as I always tend to tell too much (I always have soo many plot twists and story lines), so I can totally relate on what you said about summarizing in English. I too wish you all the best, keep writing, it is a great thing to do. As we are getting closer to christmas day (do you celebrate?) Words can't express how ready I am for this EP. If the rest of it is remotely as amazing as this, this is going to be absolutely mind-blowing.

I played it backwards. It's actually really beautiful, but it gives me a headache. Obviously, the vocals aren't the best, pleasant sound; I think it would be better with an instrumental version.

I'm going to go ahead and say it. Your music has actually changed my life for the better. It has sparked a creativity that that may not be in music, but is nonetheless an art. Basically, interpreting the stories from each song has revitalized the creative side of my mind that has been dormant since I was a kid.

As someone who avidly listens to a large majority of Aviators' songs on the regular, this song is both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing in the fact that I can recognize all of the different songs that is used and it really does capture that "setting the breadcrumbs" feeling. But the curse is that it messes with my vocal muscles memory.

This is easily my favorite non-Soulsborne sound you guys have done. Thanks for giving us everything so awesome.

If only I had access to the notes of this song, so I could learn to sing it for myself. 😁 So nice to listen to an old classic again, now with updated features!!!

Definitely teared up hearing this. So friggin beautiful and not to mention the references to Friendship and Meet Me at the End...my goodness! Those two songs helped me through a really hard time, and I love the vast and powerful love described in your lyrics! 💛
