Avicii reminds me of myself as someone who is also very anxious and shy but always had big ambitions. I feel he loved producing music but was caught at such a young and vulnerable age that by the time 10 years had passed, he was tired, lost, and didn't know what to do with himself. When you're an anxious person and drugs or alcohol take control of you, there's no stopping the horrers that go on in someone's mind. My mother, who recognizes some of his popular hits, knew nothing about him but ended up watching the entire documentary with me. At the end of the day, Aviciis mind may have fadded into darkness, but his legacy will forever bring light into my mind and millions others. Thank you, Tim. I miss you.
@that1guyyoukno2 күн бұрын
I had a weird connection when Tim says " I just started listening to all this folk music, and I realize its melody in its core. Melodies that can just go back hundreds of years." This is LITERALLY why I think myself and millions of others fell in love with his music. I found a song this year in 2024 by an artist named Illenium. There are actually 2 songs. The first is "Taking me higher" and the second song is "No time right now" both from the album "Awake". The second I heard both these I just fell in love with the melodies. They made me feel safe and calm, sort of how aviciis melodies made me feel. As someone who has genuinely struggled to find their identity and purpose in life these melodies give me hope. As the song says, there is no time like now, so stop doing things that others like and start doing things that YOU like. You only have one life, love it.

I cried at many moments, they said he was fine but deep down he wasn't. A real shame that someone so pure of heart and with so much talent has left. As a musician I can only think about his style when composing, or playing arrangements of his music and honor his legacy. You accompanied me in many moments of my life with your music that were truly happy for me and for many people. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you Tim 🤍🎶

It’s surreal watching this. I remember as a kid in 2014 watching videos of Avicii making house music on KZbin until the late hours of the night. It turned out music was not my calling, but I learnt from Avicii how to commit myself to a passion. Been a lawyer 5 years now and I attribute a lot of my success to the inspiration I received watching Avicii doing what he loved most.

I was at that Ultra show in 2013 when he debuted 'True'. While I remember everyone being shocked, I don't remember anyone booing, especially not where I was. You have to remember that neither he nor anyone else who was major in the scene was producing any kind of music like that. So to unveil something so left field at one of the biggest festivals in the world was a big risk. In hindsight I'm so lucky and fortunate to have been there to witness a moment in history. Obviously all those songs blew up and pushed him even further than he was before. I may have been hesitant myself when I happened, but a lot of the songs on that record are my favorite he's ever produced. You saved my life Tim, thank you for always lifting us up and connecting us through your music. We miss you everyday 💜
