Think twice before buying a new build. You don't know what you will be getting. better to have a home that has already been through the first years when most wrong things are found. localities are not enforcing codes, 3rd party inspections are paid for by the builder and essentially uselss. Your city inspection is also not very reliable. They do dot give peace of miind. Most developers donate large sums to the localities. Your final inspection doesn't find major structural issues because they are hidden by the walls, etc. find a house you can afford that it at least a few years old. We bought a very expensive new build and our entire neighborhood (5 years old) is filled with warranty work and there is no end in sight. Do not buy a new home.

There can definitely be issues with new construction. Fortunately I have worked with a great inspector for a few years now and he has prevented many post closing issues. Sorry to hear about your situation

It’s hard to blanket statement builders as bad as a whole, typically it’s circumstantial, not the entire company that’s bad

Thanks for the video. It would be nice to hear the differences between the popular builders. For example, Lennar seems to be lower priced than Toll Brothers. I would like to hear what you get for the difference in price. I'm curious if the lower price points affects resale value or if it increases long term maintenance costs of the homes.

I personally like tri point and haven’t had issues with any of our builds with them. My mother in law lives in one and loves it. Not familiar with the exact neighborhood you’re referencing but I’d think you’ll be fine building with them.

Well I didn’t hear anything about good and bad builders , They all are good They all are bad not really helpful 😢 Sadly 95% of the reviews are been paying by this companies for good reviews Kb homes are not really good cheap materials cheap construction

Go to a job site and look for shortcuts taken, cheap construction. Research every brand. Look for reviews, lawsuits. Go to the neighborhood and see every stage of their building

My home was built by Centex. For most part yes it was good. However, my two story house has sound issue, as there is no sound barrier between downstairs and upstairs. You can hear everything, like toilet flushes, etc. Also the Kitchen sink and granite was not properly placed.
