I've been doing protective styles a lot lately and noticed that I've been having a lot of fairy knots. What is the best way to prevent this, putting more moisturizer in it while wet, before styling?

​@2okaycola Nope. Fairy knots look totally different than lint. They are literally a single strand knot. For high textured hair moisturizing and keeping the hair stretched helps greatly.

Hi, Is it okay to leave your hair down when it's in braids/ mini twist( your own hair), or should it be tied up so it doesn't touch/ rubs on your clothes? I heard if your hair rubs/ touch on fabrics to much it causes breakage and the start of split ends.

Hey there! While I do believe too much rubbing of the hair on fabrics like cotton (such as sleeping on a cotton a pillowcase), wearing your hair down is a bit different in that you do not put tension or friction on the hair as you would if you are sleeping. So I would say do a little of both --- you can certainly wear your twist down to enjoy your style, but also tuck those ends away for maximum protection as well. 💜

Im a few year natural,my hair gets knotted at the tip so much and its not really easy to manage,i tens to go from one protective style to another because i dont know how to manage my hair outside of it,help!!!
