Many of these old school core exercises can actually do more harm than good.
They were great in the '70s and '80s.
But with the current level of knowledge, we know that there are other exercises which are better.
And as a matter of fact, it turns out that some of the exercises we used to think where good for the back, are not.
Best to avoid them altogether. Especially as there are safer, equally as effective alternative exercises to do.
Better result without the back pain.
Our chiropractor, Jasper, demonstrates some of the NO GO Core exercises (he actually struggles with one of them as he never does these!) and provides safe and effective alternatives.

I have been shown that for the plank you have to have your buttocks down i.e. a flat back. I have struggled with this and felt I was failing to do the exercise properly. It has given me pain and now I know why! Thanks for not making me feel a failure anymore,

Your videos have helped me alot.i used to have neck pain n a bad posture.i'm working upon both n the pain has reduced gradually. Hopefully the posture will also improve soon. Love from India🇮🇳

My biggest question is why they do not teach this for personal trainers? My biggest think is here the plank. We get trained that your botox should not come up, and I really agree with you especially that the all gym trainings made my back worst. Russian twist is a big thing as well with added weights. I'm trying to find alternatives how to work on my core that I not hurt my neck, shoulder, upper back further. 2019 I payed massive amount of money for the Chiropractor. They told me the best is cycling what I can do, yoga and pilates, I would learn more exercise options from you. Many thanks for your video.

I can fully relate to all the issues you just mentioned about the sit ups, Russian twist and full leg raises. I always thought it's my limitation in not being able to do these without backpain. Could you please suggest core strengthening exercises which are safe to do for those with grade 1 Spondylolisthesis?

Why am I suffering from neck pain after doing press ups. I have had a knot in my left side of neck for over four weeks now. I watched you video on releasing these, felt better afterwards, so today I did 20 steady press-ups and am now left with a headache and neck pain again. It's annoying because I really love keeping my shape doing this but am suffering.

I have commented on several of your super videos. This one hits home!!! I screed myself up very good. Now, my lower back is locked, buttocks atrophy, hams tight and Thoracic spine has significant changes. I now bend easier from my center back than from my hips! Blah!!

@@MiltonChiropracticClinic you would be amazed at the numbher of so called expert physios tell a person with osteoporosis to see how far forward they can bend. I've actually known a person to fracture a vertibrae in front of the physio doing this.

just discovered your channel and I love it, I suffer from scoliosis, pain in the lower back and I have tried to exercise with personal trainers, however in certain positions I have pain so I have no strength at all in my back or abdomen, you recommend doing these exercises?

I feel lied to lol. Always see a Russian twist in an ab exercise but the way you explained it makes sense as to why it’s bad. I always try to push my spine down when I do a leg drop. It’s hard but I try

Great Video! But all Exercises are good. The People must only strengh the Obliqus ext. Int. and most important the Glutes before they do the Exercises. 90 % of my Patients with a Diagnostik of a Bulb have to mutch Flexion in the LWS ( more pressure behind than in the Front).
