Hello Tom. I was with HSBC which worked very for me as it was and still is the only true world bank, they were bought out here by RBC and they give you 3 free ones but you pay for any other you also are only allowed 1 withdrawal free per month from your saving account so what you have to do first transfer money from your saving to the chequing then withdrawal from there crazy all that extra work. People that were with HSBC have been given 1 year without any bank or ATM frees worldwide . Thanks Tom .

This is ridiculous Shaun. It is clear that they do not want people to have cash!!! And we all know what can and does happen, from looking at the UK Post Office Horizon scandal, of what can happen when comuters get control!!!!

It's the same over here. It can be from $1.50 up to $2.50 unless it's my bank, then there's no charge. We always get the dirty end of the stick 😠. Thanks Tom.

Outrageous Tom, and the daft thing is as BL says you can apply for unnecessary charges back,so why bother charging in the first place? Its a cute con on the general public the majority of which probably won't know they can get this money probably in most cases back. These machines are on the streets its Highway Robbery. Do you know Tom I'm a cash man and I've never ever used a cash machine in my life and i certainly don't intend to start now,LOL.

They are sure to try and use further efforts to take cash away Chris. They will say cash is dirty and spreads dangerous diseases and that it is easy to steal. They will tell us online computer banking is far more effecient. Naturally they will fail to mention the Post Office Horizon scandal. They will do it.

Tom, people can (and should) make a call to their bank asking for any unnecessary charges applied to your account in the past 12 months be refunded. You can do this once a year and it may only be £10-£20 but when i worked for Halifax i once was able to refund a customer £189!

Thanks for letting us know. The Bethany not only stocks great fresh fruit + vegetables but free range eggs, supplied by local farmer up in Ballygowan, Springmount Farm, the ex large ones often have double yolks, not something you would get from supermarket eggs!

This makes me mad John. They shut down our access to local banks and then they start to set about charging us to take out our own money. What a service!!!! Of course nobody in Stormont mentions this. Here in Oz if you use another bank's ATM standard charge is $2.50

@TomMcClean Trying hard to keep cash alive 👍💰 There is also a push to ban card surcharges here; people are now learning to insert card and not swipe. Of course the young swipe swipe swipe taking the 'easy' option and therefore pay surcharges 😒

Yes us too FF. A lot of small businesses are asking for cash only now too. They have realized they are hit with some sort of card or tax charge by the bank or government! ( Not sure which or both. ) Yes so many young people don't recognize the danger. Our youngest never carries cash! So many older folks can't do online banking and are stumped. Unless they have someone to help them they are shut out of so many things.
