Louise is be finest watercolor teacher I’ve ever seen. She explains things in such wonderful detail. I’m now obsessed with watercolors because of her. I’m also so impressed that she pronounces the name of Arches paper correctly.
@LouiseDeMasi4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Shelly. I used to call it 'Arches' like it is spelt and then I started calling it 'Arshes' with a 'sh' sound because I heard another artist in an art supply store in Sydney calling it that. Then one of my subscribers here told me it was pronounced 'Arsh'. So I'm so happy we can learn from one another. ❤️
@SheXyShellyMarie4 жыл бұрын
Louise De Masi If you watch the video on the Arches site, that is the correct way to say it. I cringe when people say it incorrectly. I actually had a salesperson in an art store tell me that Arches (like McDonalds arches) is the way Americans say it. 😖

I didn't appreciate this video when i first watched it, but now I understand it because it explains some problems I have been dealing with in my watercolor travails! I keep coming back to Louise's videos when I get stuck, and am almost ready to join her patreon channel. Thank you so much for your explanations. You are a great teacher! Even though I am 73, when I grow up, I want to paint just like Louise!

😆 I love your villeos!! You are so good at explaining succinctly a any concept. You are SO blessed to have such a wide variety of colorful birds! Bird Tricks from the U.S. was in Australia doing training workshops and spent time with free flight groups there. Their channel on KZbin has quite a number of videos from their time there. They have a passion to end birds being the highest rehomed animal by teaching people how to solve problems with their pets through training. They are also teaching people how to safely keep their birds in free flight . I love following their work and support of bird sanctuaries.

Very informative and naturally you hit on my struggles. Unfortunately, in watching your help videos, you seem to hit on all of my struggles, i.e., too much water placed on subject area, too much water used in adding to paint, hard edges, soft edges....I could go on and I have been painting for a year and still struggling. I am taking botanical lesson classes and am wondering if that is the problem or merely the teachings are different and I should try your teachings. You have wonderful tutorials on KZbin. Lols...at the ending of this lesson, you stated you did not realize it was going to be too hard in creating a video. Each item I TRY to paint, i did not realize it was going to be that hard!🤯
