Avon, OBX, Chevy 2500 Duramax Stuck in the Sand

We got stuck on the beach, and it didn’t seem like we were gonna get out on our own. Then some good ol’ boys drove by and said “Y’all need help? I gotta shovel, and a tow strap, too. We can help y’all get out, using some nice ol’ redneck ingenuity”. So that’s what we did: We had a shovel, some wood, our hands, two vehicles with tow straps, and some stubby recovery boards that someone let us use. It was a team effort, but using a newer Jeep Cherokee and an old Dodge truck, we got out. Absolute blessing those guys were. But if you ever drive on the beach, you gotta be prepared for stuff like this, because we weren’t, and it ended in two hours of getting sand in our
butt cracks and trying our best to figure it out.
When you work together, great things can happen, and always be willing to help a
brother out!
