His ship actually probably has more mass than the ships he is killing. It is just humans tend to build ships very compactly, with no empty space, and the procedural generation of ships builds them very spread out.

Just build a fleet of brutes, he'll be unstoppable. I built my little corvette a sister ship and it's been fun roaming the galaxy hunting pirates. Already planning on building another to add to my little fleet. Having a fleet of your own is definitely a lot more effective than trying to solo a whole fleet of pirates/aliens, and a lot more fun watching your fleet go in all guns blazing. And hunting pirates is pretty lucrative too, just selling random white/green loot can net you millions.

sporadicidiocy Once you get just outside of the ring where xiaonion is common, you the turrets produced by turret factories are amazing. I have 9 2700 damage 2.2 times per second railguns, and 8 4000 dmg/sec independant targeting lasers. At that point, you dont need a fleet, or a giant shield and hull. The railguns 1 shot most enemies and the lasers are really quick to finish off everything else

sporadicidiocy The railgun turret factory was brocken. the damage went up as I DECREASED the abount of components I put in, and you can decrease more than you can increase from standard, so the damage probably went higher than it should. But building guns yourself takes an awful lot more effort than finding or buying them. First, you have to find a turret factory that wil produce a good version with the traits you want at exceptional (eg if you want independant targeting). Then, it took about 3 hours to find all the components at trading hubs etc, and eaxh gun cists between 200 and 500k (not that money is a problem anymore on my save as a dead station I salvaged dropped 300 million worth of force generators)

got a tip for you @Lathland upgrading your ships systems and hull. in your build menu select the part from the appropriate materil that you want to upgrade to, in this case lets use trinium engin. select that then on the left click the "upgrade to part" button (the cirlce to square) then mouse over a Naonite engine. it will show you the needed cost. simply click and voila a trinium engine with no need to delete and replace. you can also use this method to replace other parts with a new/different part as needed. for example if you needed more crew quarts you could select a crew quart from the build menu, select replace tool, then "click" on a hull and it changes the hull to crew quarts. this makes it much easier to upgrade your ship and systems to the new material

you can take control of your fighters like you do with other ships, you select it and press 'T' when close enough

What they can add ai core into the game. It would be op but have so much requirements 1:need the right material and chemicals with cooling units 2:can have meltdowns if u have taken too much damage or get way to hot ( can blow circuits, the bigger it is the more explosive it is ) 3require power (the bigger it is the more it needs ) 4: need camera and radars to see the target and do what u commanded ( anything ) 5: multiple ai cores can support each other and program, disable then if the other ai cores is about ti melt down the other one can shut it down and flag the damaged ones Benefits: replace crew men, allow upgrades, automatically classified as specialist, no need to pay credits and can controls drones if need Disadvantages: can be hacked, can cause heat by itself, can be overload if not enough processors and detection equipment it can miss a lot of shots thus wastes ammo or energy

Each material has a certain strength level. Starting with Titanium, each material is 50% stronger than its predecessor. This means, that, for example, a ship made of Titanium has 1.5 times more Health Points than an identical ship made of Iron. Material costs are always constant between tiers, but the credit cost increases by 35% each tier.

I found a salvage yard with ships made of Xanion, but only had 2 salvage turrets. I found out that the glowy bits (shield/gen blocks) are easy to salvage and drops MASSIVE amounts of resources. One ship gave me 10K Xanion! After finding a few more ships like that, I got over 72K Xanion!

Fighters, I found only mining and salvaging fighters are worth anything. The rest die too quick. Also, you cant sell fighters once you've bought them.

the shape of the ship reminds me of a Roblox game called space affliction. there was this ship that looked like it and could hold up to 8 players in seats like a drop ship and could also cloak using "c". I'd love to see it be popular again.

This game suffers from the same perspective "problem" as EVE. When you start out in your little frigate you think destroyers are massive, then in a destroyer you come across a battleship and you're like "wow they're huge". And then? You come across a capital class ship, and you see a little frigate flying next to it... And minds are blown.

Trinium is the only allround material, it can be used for everything with good results. Xanium can improve stuff like generators and shields further, while Ogonite is the best for armor. Avorion as highest tier material is great too, but NEVER underestimate how effective Trinium is even for endgame ships (just forget Naonite and below even exists). :)

Tesla is very short range but 100% accuracy most of the time and Lightning is longer range but averages around 75% accuracy.

If u Plan to do a lot with drones, keep in mind; Miningdrones dont work independent. u need too manual set every rock for them. For the Salvage Drones is a mod on the Forum, in with they start and do the Hard work for u. I use it by my self and i love it. P.s. sry 4 my bad english ^^

You are misreading, the cannons do less damage only when they are shooting automatically (so when you choose autofire or attack for them). If you are shooting them by yourself they do full damage

Sorry to say but what you just said Is incorrect, I wish It was correct but It isn't. Just tested this to make sure It is how I thought It is, my cannon deals 201 damage per shot (And has the autofire option.) When Autofire is allowed it deals 201, and when manual fire is enabled without autofire It still does 201 damage, the same with my autofire bolter, 21-24 per shot with auto enabled, 21-24 with only manual enabled. Having independent targetting installed into a turret simply lowers the overall firepower of that turret, It's the reason my low quality tesla turret is 180 dps, and my rare quality tesla of the same material is only 98 dps but has independent targeting as an option. Actually that bolter is a great example too haha, the blue quality trinium bolter has independent and does less damage (By that I mean damage per second, not per shot of course.) than all of my other bolters despite being the rarest quality and material out of all 4.

Oh really? Thanks Lath for checking this out. Well, good that i dont use autofire turrets - i prefer high damage than anything else. Yesterday i found a laser turret of the legendary variety and it is amazing! Using energy thou, fast, but the damage - depending on enemy ship material over 100 to 50~ something

I believe most of the community consider fighters to be overall annoying mainly because they make it hard to help out factions in a fight without accidentally hitting some of their fighters and losing rep. This is made worse by the fact it becomes harder to get rep from helping out factions closer to the core (they stop caring about you killing ships overall and only give the rep chunk when the battle ends). Surprised you haven't encountered missile weapons yet as I started seeing them around the time Trinium started becoming more common. And the fighters aren't slow cause your big, its cause none of the ships built by the ai in the game are anywhere near as fast as what the players build (you can easily outrun enemies without even boosting). Building a in game ship or claiming an abandon one and see how long you can last before sticking better engines on it. Can't wait till you encounter an actual faction battle as they can be fairly impressive.

lathrix there is a bug I this game where if you have a hollow area in your ship it will bug the screen for where you put upgrades and such, I do like the ship it looks awesome like a lizard or dragon head.

Timey-wimey stuff: I would like to inquire abot that From the Depths campaign that will had come into your mind in the future. You had will know an use for your unit library, and will had done the factions from them in a Warhammer 40000 style. That campaign will cause us to go down a different trouser leg of time, and save our Earth. Grammar is so hard for us. ;)

Lath just a FYI you can change the thrusters to .01 in block stats they take almost 0 mass, and give you the same thrust. (a little cheat to get great breaking and other angles of thrust.) I stop just as fast as I accelerate.

Thrusters are being changed to being scaled to volume very soon as mentioned by the dev and by me in the previous video, and as I don't want to swap all the thrusters around later, I'm going to go with volume ^^

Ah, so that means if the thrusters have no mass, they wont be able to do anything. I'm wondering what type of volume they are talking about because depending on how they are changed can make or break any ship. As in if they will need to be of a certain thickness to have an effect, or be similar to engines and be a bit bulky.
