Damn you know. Thinking about it. If Alexa had joined the Predators. Only to then comeback in the sequel. She could've been a real badass. She already has the experience of killing a xenomorph and working together with a Predator. It would've made for a more epic sequel if they had decided to do that.

I remember reading the book of this back in like 1995 or 96? It's been a while. At the end the main character, Machiko Noguchi, actually did go with the Predators when they showed up a couple years later looking for their lost hunting party. She had even learned the basics of their language which impressed them on top of her hunters mark. Such a shame the original script got butchered into this movie after such a long development hell.

@TamTroll6 жыл бұрын
Covert Farts yeah i have. enjoyed all the predator movies, but alien 3 and Alien resurrection were kinda bad. kinda iffy about Prometheus, and haven't seen covenant. problem with those latter two is that i like the idea that Xenomorphs don't exist because of human involvement, and are either a natural species the Engineers weaponized, or an artificial species the Engineers designed as weapons, with no Human involvement in sight.
@soraceant6 жыл бұрын
@@TamTroll I didn't know it was implied that humans made them in the earlier films. I always thought they were just mysterious killer aliens
@TamTroll6 жыл бұрын
yeah, i think that's the idea for alien 1 through resurrection. Covinent however gives off the vibe that humans looking for the engineers, finding the black goo, having a human woman get pregnant with a giant facehugger that impregnates an engineer that chestbursts into the Decon, it KIND of gives off the impression that that was the "first" xenomorph. Though there was the scene earlier in the film where Engineers are seen running for their lives in a cave, possibly running from Xenomorphs. And then in Alien Covinent, Neomorphs are made by a human-built android, which could possibly be interpreted as him building the xenomorph species. Honestly i don't know. i just want Xenomorphs to have a completely 100% not-human related origin.

Sanaa Lathan's character was the best part about AVP, it's rare to see a beautiful, intelligent, confident, driven, independent, empowered black woman take charge on the screen, much less one who is the central protagonist/heroine of the whole movie, which by the way as far as box-office was the most lucrative of both franchises combined.

In Erich Von Daniken's landmark book, "Chariots of the Gods," his ideas and concepts are always offered in the form of a question, rather than a claim, or a bald assertion. He postulates his "Ancient Alien" hypotheses by making statements about what we know from archaeology, paleontology and all the other sciences relating to the context and building a model by asking the reader, "what if?" as opposed to illustrating the possible connections as a matter of, "fact." I realize it's a fairly superficial distinction, of course, but it does put him in a much more intellectually honest position than most of the others offering explanations alternative to "mainstream" scholars. It's a subtlety that, for me, disqualifies his hypotheses from being dismissed as merely, "psuedo science." (Unlike actual psuedo scientists like Graham Hancock and others, largely responsible for a significant amount of "re-education" going on in our armchair scholar society today, in which anyone with even a passing recognition of the subject matter is seemingly prepared to throw out the bulk of the established science in favor of their own pet "theories.)

I saw the midnight premiere showing, being the huge predator fan that I am. Towards the end I was so disappointed and pissed, I threw a empty sailor jerry pint at the screen lol

I laughed at the part where the Predator and Woods running side by side xD looked so ridiculous. Kinda looked like Baywatch run from behind xD

I like your take on the alien queen as she would freeze in the water but depending on the depth of the water she fell into she would also be crushed by the pressure if she plunges deep enough.

Wow, after watching 5 of you movie review videos you earned a new sub today. Thanks, this makes me want to go back and watch these movies again. You do a great job, I hope Hollywood notices, "free" advertising like this is worth millions. People want "good" movies with "good" reviews. For those w/o talent it is easy to make a video "trashing" a movie with lies and deceit for some quick views (even when people don't watch it to the end). We are tired of all the Negative BS that keeps being "pushed" on us. Please keep up the good work. If you don't review a movie then in my mind you didn't have the time or it wasn't worth doing (mostly). Your writing is on spot, I look forward to your future reviews it goes w/o saying.

Constantly await your uploads! Big fan of the intro, is it not going to be used anymore? Apologies if this has been addressed separately. Just enjoyed the jingle before you got to the crux.
