curly hair tips: - don’t brush it dry - coconut oil is AMAZING for deep conditioning, let it sit for about 10 minutes and then wash it out with a clarifying shampoo - use gel for more defined curls - a spray bottle with water and a little gel mixed in is a great curl refresh - sea salt spray won’t help your curls, it drys them out - for even length curls try scrunching them when wet - use microfiber towels for drying your hair so it doesn’t get frizzy i hope this helps with your new perm 🥰 as someone with naturally really curly hair these have helped so much UPDATE: no i’m not sure if this will help with her perm, i was just trying to be helpful in case it would 🤷🏼♀️ and no it’s not just for black people hair, ive had plenty of white curly haired friends use the same tips :)

@@1or3.. I'm obviously not a hairdresser, but I would say to try to wash it less because the more times you shampoo it, the more your scalp will produce sebum. TIPS TIPS TIPS !!!!! (from a natural curled hair girly) •use deva curl no-poo and one-condition. it's AMAZING and has taken my natural curls from trash and completely transformed them. •on that note, don't use shampoo. it's very drying and isn't the best fit curly hair no matter how many brands advertise and say it is. •coconut oil masks are great too •don't always wash everything bit of mask and conditioner out of your hair. let some stay in after you wash most of it out and a little more back in as a leave in condition after your shower •leave your conditioner and masks in your hair while in the shower to let them soak in. add product in little by little and don't glob it on. it'll help your hair become smoother •DON'T BRUSH IT EVER, and let it air dry (showering at night is best especially right before bed so you're not messing around with it and it has time to dry) •buy silk pillow cases, your hair won't stick to them and is able to slide around without becoming frizzy and such. •find someone who does deva cuts. they specialize in cutting curly hair and layering it and it looks amazing compared to getting a regular haircut from someone else

Awesome tips for curly haired girls! Just wanted to add if anyone's hair is more wavy than curly and you're trying to bring out/define the waves, these are great tips but also consider: 1. you may want to comb in the shower to form proper clumps to scrunch, 2. coconut oil may weigh your waves down, 3. you might want to try adding gel to your hair after your shower (scrunched) so that your waves dry in the gel cast, scrunch out the gel in the morning. if your hair is not holding a gel cast, try a protein treatment/mask.

Giulia P pls pls pls don’t straighten your hair! Your hair is beautiful!(I also have curly hair and have learned to love it)
@sms58795 жыл бұрын
@@clinhhh6436 While I agree with you that people should love their natural hair, a hair style is a choice. That means your are able to alter it any how. Even though I personally love and wear my natural hair, one day I might color or even permanently straighten it (which isn't likely), but still, you get the gist.
@sms58795 жыл бұрын
@Chloe Haynes I also have 4c hair. And I can tell you, if you have thin hair, then I don't think you should relax it because my mother did this with her thin, 4c hair and when her hair gets long, it breaks off because she doesn't know how to properly take care of it. That being said, you could relax your hair if you're able to maintain it. I hope this helps❤

dont chemically straighten your hair!! u might not like your curls but it WILL damage the entirety of you hair; curls n all!!! lol just dont do it for the sake of ur hair 😭
@sophiaaparker5 жыл бұрын
I chemically straightened my hair two years ago and I do it every 6-8 months and I absolutely love it !! It doesn’t get damaged if you go to a good salon .... it gets more damaged if you straighten your hair everyday which I did before i chemically straightened mine

coming from a family with curly hair, Deva Curl is a pretty good product for curly hair, and you can get it wherever, i get it from target or ulta. hope this helps :))
@therock92265 жыл бұрын
Molly Penn don’t get deva curl from target because it’s usually boot leg. Deva curl doesn’t directly sell to target.

I’ve always wanted my hair straight, now I’m starting to embrace my wavy hair (to be honest my hair is more wavy than curly but I feel like if I did the curly method it would be more curly) you’re mom is such a professional hair dresser! It’s so cool how she cuts and styles your hair!

here’s some tips for maintenance and making sure your curly hair doesn’t get frizzy and continues to be the cutest (from a naturally curly girl who loves her curls!!) • brush your hair ONLY when it is wet, if you brush it dry then your hair is gonna frizz up nd you’re gonna want to die lmao, whether that means straight out of the shower or in the shower when your conditioner is still in your hair with a wide toothed comb (i do both) • leave in conditioner will sAVE your life fr. put it in when it’s wet after you come out of the shower, moroccan oil is a god send as well. use both for the best results!! • style it with product, i have curls similar to the ones you got permed in your hair so i’d recommend trying a few curling creams to see which one works for you as well as medium to high hold mousse! just run it through your hair nd voila you have pretty curls!! tbh mousse is a godsend when my hair is frizzy bc it immediately just makes it look not frizzy nd just so pretty! • try not to use too much heat on your hair! since you’re hair probably isn’t as porous as natural curly hair, your curls will look best if you don’t put too much heat on them! hope these helped hehe. i’ve never had a perm so idk exactly what goes on with that but i am also the daughter of a hairstylist nd from what i know it’s pretty much the same as natural curls! your like a year older than me nd honestly a big inspiration to me so like :)

Yeah, if you put chemical over chemical it can literally burn your hair, it happened to my sister
@juliahochderffer68395 жыл бұрын
Oof, is she alright?
@sofiamartins75375 жыл бұрын
J J yeah lol, it didn’t burn it all, the hairdresser took the paint(because she had done the straightening perm before painting) in time, so it only burnt her ends, thanks for the concern though
