I replaced my existing bug shield with this one. TIP Advice: After placing the bug shield on my hood I moved it forward at least 1/4 of an inch to ensure the hood will close with the installed bug shield. I drilled small holes into the "bottom layer" of the hood without drilling through the top layer of the hood. There was enough clearance and the installation screws are short enough so the screws did not penetrate the top of the roof. (* My vehicle's hood is hollow in places that line up with the bug guard so I reference those hollow places as a bottom layer. I suppose that is why it is important to install a bug guard that is compatible with your vehicle. By compatible the hollow places will line up with the bug guard I suppose.) * The new bug guard required holes to be drilled and I used the supplied screws to fasten the bug guard to the hood. My old bug guard used the existing factory holes in the hood and was fastened with bolts and nuts.

Make sure all the holes aligned?? Only 2 aligned lmao!! Oh that's where we have to do the work that should have been done from the factory. Re-dril!!
