G'day AV, for an indepth case review 30min is not too long, You & GN Patrick L are my 2 Favourite Case Reviewers because you put in so much effort to give us ALL the information needed good or bad to make an informed decision, A Case Review is not just will it Look Fancy or will your PC Throttle Under Load but the Whole Experience, How is Material Fit & Build Quality? How hard will the Build & ongoing Maintainance be? How many Fans do I get & is the AirFlow Bad, OK or Really Good? Am I gonna Drop the TG Panel because it is too hard to get off? Will it catch on Fire? You do an Awesome job for a Small Hobby Channel with better Content Quality than many bigger channels

There may be other reasons that'll force the length of my videos down a bit, but rather than sacrifice information density, I'll try and increase it to get all the info that someone could want to make a fully informed purchasing decision. Glad to hear this format is still relevant though, even though it might not be the most popular one.

Honestly, right now I have a love hate relationship with this case. I built my system 2 years ago with the idea of updating gpu which is what I’m doing now. Tried putting a 3060ti in there and it just fits but its to tight for airflow. I think it’s kind of silly that the new h1 is more suitable for bigger cards then the h210 (given the fact it’s big for a itx case). That being said the case was absolutely perfect for my 1660ti. If they update this case I hope they just remove the extra space below for a atx psu and just include a sfx psu. Based off my experience I wouldn’t recommend unless it’s for a budget/mid range pc.
@DugiDevetCarabolium2 жыл бұрын
For GTX its great temperature performance because they have shityest thermal performance and is old hot chip , i have seen people puting inside this case 3080 and get much lower temperatures. Also i would also flip the fan on the top to eject hot air from cpu, in your case you push hot air directly down to GPU. If you have 2 intake fans then you must have 2 out fans and yeah flip the psu fan up to suck hot air from gpu also out, that would be almost 3 out fans. overall good build.

i found the screws on the case are finnicky, ik what your feeling with those thumb screws. best thing ive found is take the screw fully off and work it with your thumbs then when it gets stuck switch to screwdriver. what im saying is they are ridiculously finnicky and extreme patience and a little experience goes a long way with this case. the gpu cools exceptionally better with an sfx psu. ive also found that dual slot gpus with a triple fan less then 44mm of thickness. Gpu is too close to the psu shroud and blocks the intake too much. Lovely case though. I always like your build notes, picking at the small things is what makes or breaks a case as there are so many on the market even something that seems trivial can be the deciding factor in a purchase.

Here are some good tips for this case owners: - Put the front fans on a lower position - Dont put too much stuff in front of the PSU (blocking airflow) - Undervolt your GPU - If possible, use SFX PSU
@gumark19753 жыл бұрын
Indeed this is the way! And put a fan under the gpu (in the psu compartment). My gpu thermals are great (65 degrees C undervolted 3070 and a 5800X). To much fans in the front will disturb the underpressure setup and the thermals will get worse (done and tested...). My aircooled system is quiet and cold. The case is a bit hard to get a grip on.. brute forcing is not the way...

That white bar strip can be removed while you install the cabling. Perhaps that was the issue with getting the 24 pin cable installed?
@AVTechy3 жыл бұрын
There wasn't really an issue with the white strip, it was just the shortest connection from the PSU to the 24 pin header. Even that wasn't close enough for the SFX PSU, so the ATX PSU had to take its place. It wasn't explained really well on the video, but the jist of it is there

@@AVTechy Yeah but it also includes 2 extra intake fans and has better radiator/fan support on the top, however I’m probably going to mod mine since the 3.5” mounting is even worse in the H400i. If you haven’t had an issue like he did with a panel getting stuck or being tough to open, then unfortunately YOU’RE THE ONE who hasn’t had enough experience on the topic. 😂 And it wasn’t even about him figuring it out either. It was just stuck/sticking which again, you would know happens pretty frequently if you had any experience doing this at all. You telling him that he’s “in the wrong line of product to render reviews” is top quality irony.

This case is such a mess...but plebs just want pretty, very few patricians who actually care about functionality. If you really want a case like this, get the Fractal Design Define Nano S instead. Much better cooling, thanks to lack of PSU shroud, also quiet. Even better, get the Raijintek Thetis. Same 27-28L of volume as this NZXT or Nano S, but fits ATX motherboards and PSU, bigass tower coolers and GPUs, looks decent, is cheap and the temps were good in my case.
