Filter in the suction side is bad, suction shouldn’t be restricted for better efficiency. If there is a risk of debris getting in to the pump then use a small break tank before suction and filter the water in to that tank. Second indication is to indicate Shaft seizing or internal blockage.

Do agree with the fact of reduced efficiency with added filter in the suction .But on practical side that's the easiest way to avoid the debris getting in to the pump. And about the Indication you are absolutely right. Thanks for sharing

Depends on the filter micron size. Debris filter above >125mcr is just fine. Anything lower , lowers the suction capability. Depends whether there is a positive inlet pressure or negative. Basic hydro stuff.

Yes, ഞാൻ gulf ൽ MEP യിൽ work ചെയ്യുന്നു, അവിടെയൊക്കെ water supply line PPR ൽ ആണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് , pvc pipe drain line ചെയ്യാനാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്, നാട്ടിൽ cost കുറക്കാനും പിന്നെ കൂടുതൽ pressure ഇല്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ടും ആയിരിക്കും pvc ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്, gulf ൽ ചില site ൽ normal water supply line തന്നെ 5 bar pressure വേണമെന്ന് client ആവശ്യപ്പെടാറുണ്ട്

Yes we have hot water pressure booster pumps. If your water heater cannot be pressurized its better to connect it to the outlet.
