Favorite band growing up. Fortunate enough to see them 17 times between 83 and 94.

I was there, and Dick Clark would get so pissed off at us for making noise, after the segment was shot!

The older that I get and the crazier the world is getting. I see just how cool things really were in the 80's. I did not enjoy them a whole lot, growing up in a small town back east. I wish I grew up in southern California back then and got to see bands like this in their heihyday. Hmm.

Saw them in Monterey, 1982. CA was great in the 80’s, but it’s all over now.

They toured with The Police in Summer/Fall 1982. They were pretty much unknown except in Los Angeles or New York.

Danny Elfman is the greatest movie composer. He composed for Batman (1989), Beetlejuice (1988), Edward Scissorhands (1990), Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) and of course, The Simpsons.

I won the tickets on KROQ to see them. 2 shows recorded that day. 2nd show was OINGO BOINGO. Sneaking around the studio. Found a conference room looked like a party happened there. Food and Drink on the table. Heard voices coming. Ran down a staircase and hide in the closet. This is where Dick found us. YES we did say we where looking for OINGO BOINGO. Thankfully we did not get kicked off the set or miss the show. I can hear you can hear my voice WOOHOO. When Dick tells the story.
