Easily one of my favorite channels on KZbin right now. Just real knowledge, applied and explained clearly, with great editing to boot! You are crushing it man, keep up the good work. Here's hoping you can either turn this channel into your business, or get into business for yourself in fab/engineering. Clearly you have the chops!

One concern with the mounting plate is that it isn’t reinforced for a large section around the mounting bolts to your subframe. You might want to consider a right angle stabilizer piece being added to avoid the vibration and bounce caused by the single plane attachment. Even with the 2 bolts in the horizontal position - you still will have vibration from the distance. Add a small 1/2” piece on the inner edge and you will be significantly stronger.

Gives it the three-finger shocker check. Determines all is good. I'm amazed at how well this motor fits in that hole. How much measuring went into this initially, or was it a make-it-fit no matter what plan? I hope the channel is taking off. The video length seems just right. I'm inspired to to get fired from my job and start my own build. I have a fireball table at work that we shoved in a corner we don't even use. I wish I could send it to you. Really enjoy the build.

Would suggest on the flat section to take a simple steel plate and weld it on the top, around 20mm wide by 6mm thick, to provide a little stiffness. Same on the bottom , at least at the front, as that motor will be attempting to flex the aluminium subframe, and letting the steel take most of the torque instead of the casting will help with fatigue life of the frame. Does not need to be fully welded, only around 25% at the ends, and then in the middle another 25% of the overall length, so there is a slight bit of flex. Run 3 welds, overlapping the last 2 so as to get full cover on the new plate, which will make it stiffer.

Amazing progress, I love the detail-oriented mindset that you have, and also how clear and efficient you are at communicating your ideas. If I was doing the project, I would try to make a nice chamfer in all of those laser-cut parts. Paint hates sticking to sharp edges, and water/salts love to start eating away metal from those sharp edges. It will make your project last a lot longer and all things considered, it doesn't add that much time. Try to remove as few welds as possible, and also try some practice pieces before you weld the final piece, it will give you insight into what you can improve.

Looks very good gravity-wise, but the bolt spacers youput in will do almost nothing to stop the two plates from beding (to the left when in the car). If you add an othogonal piece of flat steel as a brace between the two blates it will be very rigid with just a relatively thin plate.

@ElectricSuperCar. It seems to me that your math is little off. Tesla front SDU should be 85-90kg. With your heavy duty awesome mounts it should be 88-93kg weight added to the car. I do not know how did you got 68kg?

I think, the stripped weight, I had the seats in. Currently the seats are out. I agree the weight should be a little more.

Why would you want to shorten your range and increase your weight to make extra hp useless? AWD, yes, but electric, I don't think so.

Weight will be about the same. 3x the horsepower is not for everyone, but something that I like.
