Hey, just so you know you need to put those axles back in or at least the outer CV joints back into the bearing that’s what helps to hold the bearing together. You can damage the wheel, bearing with the weight of the car without the actual, squeezing it all together.

Nice to see another video. Only is it better to not take the cv-joint out of the bearing and then put the wheels on. It could damage the bearing through the weight of the car on the loose bearing's. When the cv-joint is in the bearing it clamps it down.
@ElectricSuperCar6 ай бұрын
Nope, no damage
@mikejf43775 ай бұрын
Watching it again and you might find out about moving it with the rear axle out of the rear axle. It might hurt the rear bearing in the axle. The front wheel drive VW will be hurt if it doesn't have the axle in and tight. Just trying to help. Go by some cheep impact sockets please. Craftsman aren't that great.
@tonyshipman2576 ай бұрын
Jeremy, It's nice to see you have work. Word of advice and I understand you are not rolling the car around. Just be careful about not having the CV joints in. The torque of the nut and the CJ in place helps to preload the bearings. Without the CV joint in place it could cause an issue to the bearings over time. (It could - not saying it will.) All the Best, Tony

Nissan interchanged a lot of parts in the 90’s. Tons of similar parts on various models. For instance….. if you need some more room in the diff area, you can use axles from a 240SX. That will get you an inch of room on each side. The bolt pattern is different on a USDM 240, but the stubs are plentiful or you could use JDM axles which are the same 5 bolt flange as the Z32 chassis 300ZX.
