Of course I know Fiat / FCA does not have the power of Toyota (financially) but having seen this video it makes me think Fiat/Abarth could have developed a AWD version of the 500 abarth, like toyota has done this year with the great Yaris GR ..this AWD 500 Abarth seems really like a lot of fun ..

If anyone knows where I can find any info on the build of this Fiat, I'd be extremely grateful!! I have a 4x4 Jeep Renegade 6-speed manual which shares a motor with the 500 Abarth - it's actually reasonably peppy, I would love an AWD Fiat 500.

@@opskier2 That's exactly my thoughts. I have a strong feeling that this is how it was done. Panda gearbox and rear drivetrain/suspension setup.

I've had a look under panda 4x4's and I've got an Abarth myself and both the rear axle points seem to be the same but the boot floor will need to be modified to accommodate the rear diff but roughly the rear axle of a panda will fit and the rear shocks point the opposite way compared to the Abarth. The front subframe looks to be much the same but I haven't a clue what gearbox it is or if it's related at all to the m32 vauxhall 6 speed in the Punto and assetto corse. In the centre of the body underneath there also appears to be a carrier of sorts or a prop bearing plate that might need to be put in but the spring mounts on the body and the suspension all looks like it could be modified to fit quite easily

This car is very strange. She had some abarth styling part, like fenders, front and rear bumpers, badges, but in the same time, she have a 500 fiat rear trunk and she sound different than a Abarth. The gear are engaged very fast too, that sound like a Sadev sequential gearbox. Is that a R3T ?

A occhio e croce sembra una macchina da circa 200 cv. Il sistema di trazione della Panda 4x4 nel caso sarebbe un po troppo delicato per questo utilizzo. Chissà se il motore è il 1.4 della Abarth!!
