I just installed mine. Drove several hundred miles. Don't get the track version if you don't like drone. 85 mph around 3500 rpm drones. 70 mph no issues. The exhaust sounds good but it also introduces vibrations in the cabin. I will most likely be ordering the touring edition with the mufflers. For reference I'm on a stage 1 APR tune stock downpipe and I'm also almost 50 years old.

I was able to drown out the drone with my stereo on my 6-hour drive but I can't imagine driving this thing for long drives on the highway. The drone isn't enough to give you a headache but it's very noticeable and just not pleasant for long drives.

As someone who has heard both in person, what are your thoughts on this system vs Milltek race on a stock DP?

I've heard them nearly all at this point, depends on what you're wanting valving wise really but the Race from Milltek or Track from AWE would both be good options!
