I was thinking, why was it still $25 a square after Round 1 of the Hollywood Squares especially when losing a square to block equates to a Win for the opponent. Hollywood Squares format worked perfectly without this change.

My 5th Favorite Mark Goodson-Bill Todman-produced Game Show, 8th Best TV Show/Made-for-TV Movie of the 1983-84 Season, and 2nd Favorite Incarnations of both Match Game and Hollywood Squares after both the 1962-69 NBC version of The Match Game also hosted by Rayburn and the 1986-89 Version of Hollywood Squares hosted by John Davidson. About 12 to 16 of the Episodes of the Match Game Hollywood Squares Hour are my overall 20 of my Generally Overall Favorite Episodes of Match Game in Match Game History; Including the First Week of October 31st 1983 (Halloween), the Final Week of July 23rd 1984, the Week Gimme A Break!'s Lauri Hendler in Late May of `84 which was the only Week she was ever on in Match Game or Hollywood Squares History, and the Following Week of Early June of `84 when Gimme A Break!'s Kari Michaelsen appeared and likewise was the only week that Kari appeared in Match Game or Hollywood Squares History.

Other Edd Kalehoff-produced scores would also be used, besides the MG-HS Hour theme, would include the Family Feud theme (originally a TPIR car cue, but "enhanced" with the banjos for the "Hatfields and McCoys" effect), and TPIR prize and Showcase cues for the Jack Narz version of Concentration.

This intro was catchy but I think the 1970's separate Match Game and Hollywood Squares series were better. I can't think of anyone that is good enough to replace Gene Rayburn today. I guess they could go a different direction and get cute and soon to be out of a job Governorcritter Kristi Noem or almost as soon out of a job Senatecritter Lauren Boebert for Match Game and weird Congresscritters Louie Gohmert or Mo Brooks for Hollywood Squares. All four would be incompetent but at least Match Game would have a cute host and Hollywood Squares would have that weird factor -- they might be good for attracting Trumpians and get primetime slots at Fox News. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The version I do at my fun job(18Universal)the show is going its 8th season. First 3 years John Davidson was my co-host,last 4 Jim J. Bullock was my co-host, this season Shadow Stevens will take over as co-host. Also, a new announcer the man with golden voice is now permanent the announcer.
