Prof is amazing with a huge catalog, he's been making music for well over 10 years. His funny songs will have you laughing til you cry and his serious songs will just straight up make you cry. Very, very talented guy, one of only a few who can hold their own on a track with ren for sure

Thank you for that! I like an artist who can go from laughing to crying much like another artist we know 😉❤️

It’s fun and it’s fire with a West Indies flavor which I just savor. Truthfully, there are some serious themes here about the relentless struggle to make it, to be successful, to be famous at any cost (selling souls, pimping pain, monetizing life for instagram fame)…all relevant in these difficult times. Of course the absurdity of killing a politician is all about the total corruption in politics and governments who have created such a toxic and divisive culture among the people with their never ending lies., gaslighting and fear mongering. They have all sold their souls and abused their power. They have made it damn near impossible for people to make it, especially the young people. They don’t seem to care much about the shit storm they are inflicting on we the people. Of course REN and Prof are not promoting killing but they are making s very clear statement about the culture of death we live in. I think the overall effect for me is a smooth and banging beat and a very good hook. It’s rap, it’s soul with some thought provoking themes at its core. I loved it. REN the man with a thousand flows and some sweet harmony in the background. These 2 have very different and distinctive sounds and yet it just works…I call it the magic of REN. The way this is arranged has his touch all over it and like every duo I have seen him be a part of…it’s very very good listening. Bumping on repeat in the car!! #socheeky #profiscold #summertimevibes #theRENeffect

Very well said, my friend! I agree with you on every point. Thanks to Ren, I'm a fan of The Big Push and all the solo work it's members have been doing, Chinchilla, Eden Nash, and Viktus. And the artists that he has spoke of like Asaf Avidan as well as the ones that Ren was compared to like NF and Tech N9ne. Now I can add Prof to that incredible list of talent. My gratitude toward Ren is profound! I'm grateful for you as well! ❤️

That island feel you talked about in reference to Ren : I'm told it's called toasting. Pitched rap or a mixture of rap and singing. Something like that.

My first time hearing Prof too. Course I listen to it when it first 15 minutes came out which was like midnight but hearing today and slowing down the lyrics get the deepness & cheekiness of it😂. It's on Prof page because it features Ren and Prof made the beat. Reading the comments there people are finding Ren for the first time here in the USA as Prof has a following so it's a win-win for both of them 👍 The syllables bars was awesome Ren 👏👏 another chill back fun reaction by you Bill 💞💞💞

This one is sort of reminiscent of themes Ren touches on lots of his songs like Sick Boi (music business references), Dominoes (evils of social media) and Money Game. I don't get that. I heard one early reactor to this song come up with that interpretation seemingly out of nowhere, and I was like, "huh"? My interpretation is they're singing about themselves selling their *own* pain which they put into their music, along with hard work and everything else even their very souls. And what's the cause of much of that pain? Death. Someone close to them had to die for that pain, which they channel into art. Then again it's also a critique of chasing fame, even while acknowledging they're a part of it to some extent - similar to Money Game in that sense.

@Retro_Rainer3 ай бұрын
that 2 exclamation points really sold it. your hate isn't strong enough for 3, but too strong for 1. I like how much this seemingly arbitrary choice conveys so much information. but I still don't buy it, tho. since real people listen to the song on it's own first, and then go to reactions, you don't hate it enough to not click on a reaction video just to let people know. conflicted, are we?
@BemusingBill3 ай бұрын
That's all good, friend! You don't have to like everything Ren does. As a life long fan of Judas Priest, Iron maiden and Metallica I can honestly say I don't like every single one of their songs. There are whole albums of theirs that I think sucks but there are many more I love dearly. I don't know Prof at all but I'm willing to check his stuff out.
