This has nothing to do with coloring...but I love the way Steve looks at you, Jen, with such love and adoration. Bless you both!

KZbin unsubscribed me to half of the channels I was subscribed to about a year ago. So many channels to remember! I'm still re subscribing to channels. The other day I stumbled upon a sheet of paper I had a wish list on and your custom coloring book was on it. Ordered and re subscribed!

You could do some really interesting backgrounds using different media on top of alcohol marker and/highlighters. I was even thinking it would be kinda cool to utilize maybe a ruler and stencils to draw some straight lines and cool designs on top of the marker base layers. I NEVER would have thought to use gel pens over markers. I've used marker as a base for colored pencils, but not gel pens. Thank you for continuously expanding our artistic horizons, Jennifer & Steve! I've been cleaning up my gmail, going through and deleting all my old mail to free up space, but watching your videos before deleting the emails just to ensure I haven't missed anything and apparently, I missed a lot. I usually just watch your videos directly on the youtube app and I think youtube fails to notify me of a lot because there have been tons of videos I haven't seen yet.

Don't forget watercolors! If you have thick enough paper, a light wash can change any color. Even if you have cheap pan watercolors, a chalky later is fine for color pencil work. I really like that idea of a grey base layer, or even a very light layer of black, to make dramatic shades as a base layer - awesome. I usually come back to add shade for depth at the end, but I am curious to see how it'd be to start off that way. Think I'll try it now!!

Thanks for the tips! I will definitely give this a try. Any time I can cut back on how much ink or pencil I use; it's a good thing. You guys look so great! Jennifer, your hair is gorgeous!

I wish you said let's roll that beautiful coloring footage. When you said let's roll that footage I thought of baked beans lol Let's roll that beautiful bean footage. Maybe next time you can say let's roll that beautiful coloring footage 🥰. I can't wait to get paid next week I'm ordering my first coloring book from you. Because of you I bought Tanmits , prismas scholar arteza and my mom got me prisma premium , and my daughter bought me crayola signature for Easter . I've also bought 3 new pencils cases for my beautiful new colors And a lap desk ! I just need a great coloring book. I've tried looking on Amazon for a cheaper one but I'd be gambling with the quality why do that when you haven't failed me so far and ik your books are probably awesome!. I've also tried watching other colorist to learn techniques but they don't catch my attention like you do. I do like sarah Clark her and yourself help me decide on getting artezas. You helped me decide on a sharpener a blender well basically my whole kit . You awoke an obsession in me lol. I've always loved coloring and buying coloring supplies but I didn't get good quality ones because I had noone helping me decide or show me options. Ppl always thought I colored good but now I'm blowing them away with the new skills your teaching me. Sorry it's a book but I just love you Steve and Rose and am so excited I found you and appreciate your lessons so much. I'll be looking into the workshop next.

You guys being outside in this video reminds me of one of the first of your videos that I ever saw and I haven't been able to find that video. Anyway, Jennifer, you were seated at a park table kind of up on a hill (I think) with a beautiful background, and you were doing some type of art, probably coloring because I think this was back when you were 'Coloring Pages Bliss'. Do you happen to know what I am talking about? and if it is accessible? This goes way back. I was so impressed with the beauty of the scene, I would like to see that video again if possible.

Maybe I’m doing something wrong or using the wrong “type” of highlighter but I get bleed through with regular highlighters.
