The 3 digit number are the hp on the JD these days. The 1 digit number is the series. So the 6R is 175hp, and the 8R is 310. And they have a boost on top of that. 6R probably got close to 30hp boost, for pto work and road travel.

Bill theirs a do not drive service bulletins out 1025’s check with the club’s date of manufacture. brake failure arm under the right side John Deere doesn’t want those series tractors driven until a fix can be allocated. Even dealers are frozen they can’t sell any of them.

those loaders are to big on 1023. had one and there very unstable when you fully load the bucket
