One lesson I learned from my farmer grandfather was do all the low-risk stuff FIRST with your tractor and tools before you attempt anything where you might damage or bog down the equipment. He would have recommended to first mow the main field completely then worry about trying to deal with the brush piles, just in case.

Happy New Year Tim. Just looking back at 2023, this rehab cab 3520 tractor series has been not only my favorite for 2023 from any of channels I watch and subscribe, it is my favorite TTWT series ever. Learned so many things watching you take that 3520 machine apart and fix it up. Many things I have now done to my compact cab tractors, like the roof insulation I have it installed now in both of my cab 3046Rs, soon will have it in my new 4075R ESCV tractor as well. Wanted to take time to thank you for all that you do with your channel and for the tractor community. Thank you !!!

Once again the TS-10 does not disappoint. It trims extremely well, especially along the fence, and is more maneuverable than one would think…with some practice of course. “Christy the Trooper” again doing a stellar job!. Blessings.

A good way to make that sharp 90° turn to the right on the first pass is to make a 270° loop to the left.

regarding the 90° turns with the mower: if possible do a 270 circle to the left and you can easily align the mower nicely parallel to the fence in a straight line before the mower reaches the fence.

Great job of mowing and trimming. I can see that smaller tractor/cab combination has opened some eyes with what it can do. The farmer in me looking at that property just saw 100's & 100's of small bales.

Tim - on mowing the square - as you finish a side drive forward and turn to the left in a cloverleaf. Make a circle and head down the next side aligned ready to mow. Bonus some of the other grass gets mowed. Keeps from backing and working in tight sides.

Just a quick critique here.... when you come to the end of a run and you are turning around or making a loop to turn a corner, raise your mower all the way up. Kinda like running a combine. Take the headlands first, then as you get to the end of a row, you lift the head, make the turn, lower the head and enter the crop. You need to set a lower stop on your mower with cyclinder spacers to keep consistant though. Not only does this leave a nicer finish and not bunch up the cut grass, but this will really help you next time. It also levels the driveline to help reduce the cv joint angle during the turn..... I know the looks are not a top priority on this job, but it's a good habit. Leaving the nice flat layer of cut grass will decompose better and not leave big piles for you to mow over next time.

Just this June I mowed 5 acres for the second time using a 1025R and a RC 2048 mower. First time I mowed it the weeds/brush was well over the roll bar on the tractor and took me almost 10 hours. second time it only took 6 but the ambient temp was right around 100F ( south Texas, I think Louisiana has higher humidity) I wish I could run a cab but way too much brush and low trees. That being said while I was hot and miserable actually doing the work I would do it again in a heartbeat. Any time on a tractor is time well spent. And Yes, The U joints WILL tell you when they don't like the angle they are at.

Hi Tim, love this video as well. I was wondering, if the owners of the towers have more and need them mowed around the Muncie, IN. area I have my 3039R with the flail mower (recommended by you of course) that can tackle things over in my neck of the woods. I would love to have more mowing properties to use the Maschio flail mower on. I agree, the cab does make a difference to remain more comfortable when it's really hot out and you are working in the heat or cold for hours on end. The air ride seat, oh so comfy. I was glad to see that you added it to your used tractor. That makes the comfort level go up even more for sure. If you have people that contact you about projects that are just too far for you to travel on the east side of the state, I wouldn't mind having you direct people my way to see if there is something I can do to help people out. I'm retired from my regular job and just do tractor work to help people out and I make just a little bit of cash on the side doing projects. Most of my attachments are from recommendations you have made from watching your videos. I can actually see how the attachments function and how well they perform before spending the money to make the purchase. It has helped me out tremendously for making wise choices in the attachments. Thanks again for all that you do and keep them coming. I love learning more about the capabilities of the tractors and some really good attachments that are well built and do amazing things with nearly perfect results. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to doing jobs and probably put more time into projects that most would as I want the work, I do to look great when completed. I bought the Maschio flail mower for a commercial property I used it for 3 years until it was just sold this summer. So now I need more to help offset the expense. So just keep me in mind for any projects on the east side of the state around the Muncie, IN. area if things are just too far for you to travel.

Great video Tim & Christy. Have you thought about adding weights to the front with pulling the 2,200 lbs of the TS10? And I know you have those tires on and off a few times with your projects, but for easier ride and safety, spacing out your wheels will make for a smoother ride.

Fantastic video series Tim. Learned a lot. Still learning every episode featuring this tractor. I did the roof insulation and the Larsen lights to my cab 3046R this month. I have a new steering shaft and bushings out on the work bench now. Not sure it’s going to do anything, but thought I would try it. I did get rid of the squeak with lubricant. However now have groan/moaning sound. I have pined it down to when steering to the right, no sounds when steering left . Also worth a note: I pulled the loader off my cab 3046 and put it on the 3039R OOS and discovered 80% of that sound I was getting steering right went away. ???? Still trying to figure it out. Thanks again for this very educational series!

I’ve watched in a few of your videos where you have said your view, have suggest not to sharpening the blades on your flex swing because you will ruin them. Mine have gotten to the point on my flex wing where I have to sharpen them. So every time I grease it, I take a couple swipes with a grinder to put a EDGE on it. Leaving the blades dole is extremely hard on gear boxes, U joints, drive lines, engine, gear in going to the PTO, Tractor, etc.. the only time I replace blades is when they are getting rounded on the tips and hurting the quality of the cut

You have that tractor looking good Tim. Growing up on the farm I found that three point hitch PTO driven implements weren’t near as easy to use as pull type. Also, as far as I can tell that tractor has a naturally aspirated engine, I’ll bet a turbocharger would boost the power to handle that mower rather nicely.

Other than the few spots of brush you could mow that with a good sickle mower or drum mower in a hurry and the trimming would be much easier. Nice job on the tractor rehab.
