I’ve been building drawers with that Titebond Melemine glue for at least 20 years. It works great.

Right! They actually sent me a whole set up and I will be doing it about a week and a half from now when I set up my new steel ducting for the new Harvey dust collector. We just got so stay tuned for that video! They even have a module for my air scrubber so when it detects particles in the air it auto turns it on

Justin, I love your videos which is why I was surprised to see so much time dedicated to VERY high dollar tools general found in commercial/industrial shops, a $9,000.00 dolly, seriously that’s nuts for small shops and hobbyists. I was glad to see the often ignored Armor Tools pocket hole jig which has been criminally underrated IMHO, get noticed and now fall under a bigger brand which can market the Kreg alternative efficiently.

So the show was very much more industrial manufacturing stuff and very little in the ways of the small shop guys so I showed what I could with something for everyone. I have built 3 houses so I know that dolly is attractive for trades guy who work on new construction. there’s a lot more smaller stuff on the day 2 video coming out.

@@BitnerBuilteven small shops sometimes need to invest in expensive tools to save their bodies. Trucks, forklifts, trailers, scaffolding, power tools. It’s not all about a step ladder and a hand saw.

I have an Armor pocket hole jig, and love it. I have wondered how they've been so under the radar for years. I've never heard any major content creator even mention them before this video. Hopefully associating with Bora will bring them some well deserved exposure. I'm wondering if Harvey's nickle coating affects the use of magnetic accessories significantly.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 4 ай бұрын
Yea it looked nice, I will ask them on the magnet question. I like that they are putting that coating on all their cast iron tools, those are all heavy investment machines so it’s nice to keep them looking great 👍

lol well there’s always that salesmanship / need to put on a compelling show at these live things, but yea it’s just set wrong - Freud / Diablo (same company) does make some good stuff however 👍

I love how some of these guys throw around costs for stuff like it's feasible for the average home woodworker. Most hobby woodworkers need a 2'x4' downdraft sanding table that starts around $4k. I've recently started spending coin but for a while my entire shop wasn't $4k, every tool in it!
@BitnerBuilt

Well, I would say this was more of an industrial type of show, so it’s not particularly the market that they’re selling for . Out of 1100 booths. I only found around 25 that were applicable for this video so yes expensive but I wouldn’t do it too much since this show wasn’t meant for the home DIY person

We sell the new saw stop revolution and people are returning it because it does not lock well to an angle, bump the fence end and no matter how much you tighten it it will move on you so you cant get repeatable miter cuts
@BitnerBuilt

Have you talked to them about it? I did a quick search for a readit thread on people complaining about it since it’s not a cheap one, didn’t see anything might be on a bad small batch?

50 years ago my buddy’s dad built an air hockey table with a sheet of Formica (probably, I don’t remember exactly) and a shop vac reversed. He drilled a bunch of tiny holes and it worked great. Drill some slightly larger holes and ramp up the HP of the motor. You’ve got your table for less than $500. Tie it into your existing dust collection system (on the blow side) and you can probably make the table for less than $50.

The Armor Tool pocket jig is great in concept, but a poor performer. They're all plastic and not built to last. I've replaced mine with the far, far superior UJK all-metal pocket hole jig. Do the same, you won't regret it.
