There's a reason that the album Back in Black is the second Best selling album of all time. Right behind Michael Jackson's Thriller. The whole album is fantastic.
@kimberlydeore25304 жыл бұрын
LOVE Black in Black!! Def Leppard's Pyromania Album was actually 2nd behind MJ’s Thriller in terms of ranking. Just to give credit where credit is due. Look it up if you dont believe me! Back in Black was a BEAST though and I'm not sure where it ranked on Billboard 200 (I thing 5th or 7th) but has probably become over the years the 2nd highest selling album. But at the time it was Pyromania right behind Thriller. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyromania_(album)
@kimberlydeore25304 жыл бұрын
Pyromania charted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (kept from the top by Michael Jackson's Thriller), No. 4 on the Canadian RPM Album chart and No. 18 on the UK Albums Chart. Selling over ten million copies in the US, it has been certified diamond by the RIAA.

Kimberly Deore everyone makes the mistake Back in Black is the 2nd biggest selling album WORLDWIDE behind Thriller...the mistake people make is looking up sales by country. In America I believe the Eagles greatest hits is number 1 Thriller is #2 and the Eagles Hotel California is #3..the key word is worldwide.

This is a song that still sends chill run down my spine (listen to Nightcrawler), the first new song from the band I heard after Bon died. The lyrics are eery. I had heard Bon sing in Amsterdam in 79, promoting the Highway to Hell album. Then this. When they returned after releasing Back in Black, I went to that concert as well. Very emotional. When they played Whole lotta of Rosie, the fans outsung Brian on the PA. He went backstage, the rest of band played the song, we sang it. It was a very very special moment. Afterwards Brian came back and applauded us. The man never tried to replace Bon, but did more to honour him. A lot like Bon, me too, but Brian has been awesome in his own right. A good mate and its sad he can't perform anymore. This song therefore is one of my favourites. Other good songs (well which ones are not?), Big Balls, because it is hilarious. What's next to the moon? because it is moody, Spellbound, and the Jack live, or Squealer. The list is endless. This band is the best. It's not about money, it's about being good mates and having fun. Bon is still on their website, the band released a tribute box for Bon (Bonfire) which was nice. Sadly with Malcolm passing away, Phil going ga ga, Cliff retiring and Brian not being able to sing live, it is not likely to repeat. Glad I caught them the last two times they came to Amsterdam. So happy that so many others still like to listen, I'm biased, they have been in my life since 1978.

Have a listen to one of the hardest AC/DC albums ever recorded, Flick Of The Switch. That's Malcolm Young going full metal jacket rock'n'roll with his riffs. Ace tracks would be Guns For Hire and Rising Power, tracks that had us kids in the 80's banging our heads like lunatics.

As some have probably told you this was their first effort after Bon Scot had died. Back in Black (in mourning for their loss)..... Keep up the great work. Always love your channel.... If you get some time go way back when they did a lot of blues inspired songs. Ride On. Gimme a Bullet. These will show you their roots. Rudd (drummer), Brother Malcolm (rhythm guitar) and Cliff (bass) are the iron triangle / foundation for almost every song.

If you're going to do an ac dc review you have to do a Bon Scott song he was the original lead singer but tragically died. Anything off of the Live at Riverplate concert would blow your mind.My personal favorites are Whole Lotta Rosie, The Jack, and Let There Be Rock. Angus Young is lead guitar he always puts on a Heck of a show, his brother Malcolm(RIP) plays the bass and wrote the majority of their music. The drummer is Phil Young, but I can't remember the name of the rhythm guitar. ✌💜🎶
