I was living in Bahrain for 6.5 years and my experience was amazing.Bahrain is a very open country you can drink alcohol ,they have bars,you can walk drunk as long as you don't hurt anybody,you can eat pork,women can wear anything they want, the only thing that they don't have is a nice beach to swim like Dubai. But generally Bahrain is much more open and cheaper than Dubai.Bahrainis are very friendly and accommodating and they don't look down on you whatever race you have.. Initially I felt homesick but then when I found out that there are a lot of Filipino store and restaurant then I was able to carry myself up and there are a lot of Filipinos working in the Hospital just like I do and in the hotel or malls.Thank you Bahrain!!

@LeylaKazim6 жыл бұрын
Oh thanks for the recommendation Liz. What is the Sofatell tree of life?
@ChronosCooper5 жыл бұрын
@@LeylaKazim I hope it isn't too late to answer. It is the Tree of Life actually. Sofatell is the closest hotel to the tree. The Tree is ancient and in the middle of the desert. It lived there without source of water and without anyone to care for. It is said that its roots dug so deep under the island. So Bahrain took it as a sign of dedication and resilience against harsh life.

Man, such a great country. my dad left for Bahrain at 20years in 1985. He saw life in Bahrain from drinking salty water and cooking from kerosene stoves to smartphones in everyone's hand, poor or rich. I was born in Bahrain. We had to resettle in India after my dad retired in 2018. Worst decision ever. Quality of life and manners of people here are nothing compared to life in Bahrain. God willing I will soon land back in my home Bahrain. Funny thing, this video is posted just a month after we left Bahrain
