Believe it or not, this was the first movie that ever made me cry. I saw it in theatres when it came out in 1999 (I was 12 at the time), and the moment lost it was when Julian called out, "No! I want you to be my dad, Sonny."

Ok...the next Adam Sandler movies you need to watch are, SPANGLISH and THE COBBLER! They are very different from his other movies, have great casts, and I just know you'll like them.

Fun fact James… The waitress in the bar when they were watching the Jets is Jackie Sandler, Adam’s actual wife. They met on the set of Big Daddy and hit it off. She is in almost every single one of his movies since then and plays a quick 30-45 second part. In one of Adam’s newer movies “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah”, the 2 girls playing his daughters are Adam and Jackie’s actual daughters. Very cool family and Adam always tries to include them in projects.

When I was a kid, my family moved to a new town where I didn’t know many of the other children. The first birthday party we tried to throw did not have many kids attending. However, one of my neighbors bought me this DVD, and I always really enjoyed the movie. it has been 25 years since then, and he is still one of my best friends to this day. This movie holds a warm place in my heart.👍🏻
