My GF's grandparents bought a manor house with 10 bedrooms and 16 acres in the yorkshire countryside and it was £2M. That puts into perspective the stupid london prices.

A real estate agent made a video about the apartment I moved into, and it was all about "hyvää laskutilaa" (Finnish for basically "you can put things on here", usually meaning spacious kitchen counters). The apartment was being praised to the sky. It is not a bad apartment per se, but it sounded like the 8th wonder of the world in that video. 😅

I used to rent out a footballers apartment in Liverpool for 8k a month, he paid around 1.4m for it about 10 years ago. It was 3 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and I thought that was steep at the time. God knows what it'd be marketed for sale nowadays.
