I use Isabelle as a hard counter for characters such as Peach/Daisy, Jiggs, Incineroar, etc. If you can't move quick enough to keep her in the air that's a point against you... If you don't have projectile spam that's a point against you... If you rely on grab setups or command grabs that's a point against you...

Everyone at one point has come across that one guy who is good at a character who isn't necessarily top tier (like say Wario in that one dudes case) and got smacked. And now they're left thinking said character is broken when really they're either exploiting the lack of knowledge them, or just demonstrate clean execution of their kit. Que107 results wise, it’s Kameme getting third at Let’s Make Big Moves, Zackray used him before, Nietono got 9th at EVO, Abadango using him and winning Umebura, and then everything Tweek and Glutonny does. Compared to the top tiers, Inkling, Joker, Palu, Snake, Pikachu, Peach, you can make the argument that Wario is the best character.

Up tilt is a great anti air, one bad interaction and you’re gonna take 50%, f tilt at ledge kills, d tilt to dash attack is a confirm, bite, nair, and throwing the bike makes him good at ledge trapping, and waft has a tons of ways to confirm to the point getting two mid wafts is a viable strategy

As someone who thinks Wario is top 5, my reasoning is that it seems like more top level players cover their bad matchups with a secondary wario than any other character. Tweek, kameme, and Abadango immediately come to mind, not to mention glutonny solo-maining him and being a top ten player despite a lot of the top ten needing to rely on at least 2 characters. To me, those results are the second strongest in the game after only Peach/Daisy who has several of solo-main top level players. I might be over rating him, but that’s my reasoning anyway.
