You’ve got a knack for making the uniform details pop at this scale. The various Germans add a great variety of uniforms alongside the redcoats.

I really like the Hessian uniforms of the period. A little history fact for you Kevin is that most if not all of the Hessian prisoners taken during the Northern theater of the war were housed in the town I was born in. The area was/is a heavily German populated area so there were plenty of German speakers to communicate with them. I was playing Brandywine from GMT games and unfortunately Major General Kynphausen was killed by musketry fire at Chadd's Ford in my game.

@@nordicmaelstrom4714 oh know not Knyphausen! I was doing a research project about how many Hessians actually remain here and went back to Germany to see what happened to their families. I was fascinated by this particular history. I enjoyed painting the Hessians, but then again I really enjoyed painting the Prussians. That also a good video I made. I don’t know if I told you but I live 5 months out of the year in Germany. Not far from Kassel.

@@thekrausecollection15mmmin53 He went forward to rally a unit and that unit got fired on and it caused a leader casualty. Really threw a monkey wrench into the diversion. My family came over from Germany/Holland about forty years before the AWI. Germany is a place id like to visit just to see the ancestral fatherland. My father's father's family come from near Cleves.

@@philRminiatures yeah the Germans are pretty imposing. I like the flags. I had a lot of fun painting the Hessians just because I spend a lot of time there. My first girlfriend came from Kassel. She reminded me of Hessians Grenadier that’s probably why I’m not with her anymore😂😂

@@TheDiceKeep thank you for your watching. I use black powder with their revolutionary or supplement and it seems to work pretty well. It’s just a rule set that I am used to playing.we have fun playing.

They look great, specially in those numbers on the table. 18th century German states uniforms (what is not to like), I personally like the German uniforms until the Franco - Prussian war, uniforms became more practical but so bland in the course of the 20th century.
