You all rock, we are going full time when I retire. Not poo related but not good at all. Anyhow we buy a 22 Chevy 2500 gasser at the very end of August 22 to tow the camper we bought a month earlier. I know, we put the cart in front of the horse a bit but we were waiting on the truck to come in and we live in Atlanta. We finally get the truck, so we go down to General RV in Jacksonville, Fl to pick it up mid Sept. of 22. They set up the WDH, all is good to go right. Not....I towed that camper probably a thousand miles before I realized I should be setting the gain on the trailer brakes. Yes....I did that....uggggg, it is a Grand Design Imagine 2800BH so about 8k lbs when we weighed it. But still, I did not have a clue how to set up the gain. We were always in a hurry, screwed some stuff up along the way too but I look back and thank the lord we bought an HD truck because it stopped that camper like a champ, even without the brakes on the camper working....Did we get lucky or what? A little scary looking back but what we did (right) from the beginning, was to buy an HD truck. That thing never even complained a bit. I know you all love your gasser Ford. We love our gasser GM....all hail the gassers....lol....be safe all and happy camping!!

My husband had an awkward moment, filled the tanks and checked the gauge inside and went inside to get something,left stairs down and started to drive off with them down scrapping the pavement and was so loud everybody heard it and looked. Luckily he did not go maybe 1 foot or two. Here's your sign!

OMG the smoke alarm in our Grand Design is right over the stove too. What a stupid place to put it. It would go off every time we cooked. We now use a very small fan and point it to the window next to the stove to stop the alarm from going off.

Cody, loving the train horn. Debi noticed the big smile on your face. Never thought about a Reuban for St. Patty's Day. Yum! The RV-related awkward moment that stands out in my mind happened many years ago in South Carolina. We were on one of our "see how many states we can visit in 10 days RV trip". Started in Texas, 1st night in Louisiana, off to Talladega, AL so I could run 8 laps with Dale Jarrett NASCAR experience, off to Stone Mountain, GA, then to Cherokee, NC, Pigeon Forge, TN, Smokey Mountain Park, Dollywood, Virginia to drop off our daughter's friend at her house and visit two friends in South Carolina. So far we are on Day 8 of the 10 day trip and just a little tired. We visited a high school teacher at their summer house in South Carolina. This is the family that really taught me the in's and outs of rving. We traveled together for a few years during college. Well, we stayed at their lake house a lot longer than planned and after a day of swimming and having fun with their wave runners it was time to leave. Well, we said our goodbyes and we pulled out of their driveway with the bedroom slide still open. I see them waving their arms in the mirror and stopped. The first thing I heard was, "What did I teach you about one last walk around before you pull out?" "Your slide is still out." Noting like doing something like this in front of the person who taught you the checklist. Finally, the bow looks good!

Oh man! Lol! What a great lesson to show that mistakes are made throughout the rving experience though! “Seasoned” people make mistakes constantly and I think we learn something on every trip. Your trip made ME exhausted by the way! 🤣

We just watched your recent KZbin, Awkward! We really enjoy all your videos. We never write as we watch on our TV, but we try to always "like" them. Watching you hitch up reminded me of what I do hoking up our 5th wheel. I put a telescoping magnet on the hitch and extend enough I can easily see it. I have a stripe of blue tape on the king pin. When backing up I line up the magnet and blue tape and it makes hitching up so much easier for me. when the camper slides into the hitch it knocks the magnet off. I store it with a sting in one of the holes in the top of the bed rails. Not being full-time I don't have to hitch up near as much as you do but it helps me. I like your TLT. I’ve got a great poop story for you. In our first month of full timing, we were in Southern California in the middle of summer and we had a black tank clog. One of my teens had flushed a tampon. I had to fix the problem. After fishing out the cause of the clog, the tank turned lose and guess who lost…….. That’s right, me and one kid helping me. I screamed a scream I didn’t know I could make. The scream was so funny I laughed til I peed. The most embarrassing part was that the dump station was at the bottom of the hill where tons of rvs had the pleasure of seeing and unfortunately smelling. We never made that mistake again. 😂😂😂😂😂

I'm pulling our 32' (outside, 27' inside) bumper-pull toy hauler with a '24 Chevy 2500 6.6l High Country, that we just bought. I debated between gas and diesel and decided to go gas. No regrets. I don't need that raw low-rpm torque of a diesel to pull my rig; so, 6.6l V8 gasser is just fine. There are certainly the diesel diehards out there, and some really do need a diesel. Most RV'ers don't though. Speaking of don't need, but want... I want to put louder pipes and an air horn on my Chevy tow vehicle (I'm a Harley rider, and have come to REALLY appreciate nice sounding pipes). :-)

We love our air horns! I’ll drop a link below. As far as the louder pipes, check out stage 2 motor sports online. I got their cat back exhaust for my old F-150 and it was incredible. I didn’t have to modify anything, price was reasonable and the sound was awesome. My son still has that truck and the system has been great!

@RVUntethered , earlier today, I ordered a Borla 3.5" S-type catback exhaust. I really like the sound and quality of the Borla S-type. It wasn't cheap, but I liked the sound and the quality... I'll look into the airhorn system that you recommended. However, I was thinking that I'd probably go with a 2-horn system with a smaller tank/compressor and couple it with the stock horn, to get 3 frequencies.

If you like state parks you should try out salt fork state park in Ohio there is a giant lake and supposedly Bigfoot was spotted there years ago my wife and I stayed there and it’s really nice and lots of hiking trails

Snap pads are only 1/4 inch thick. How would that keep you from having to blocks down while levelling?

You may still need blocks for leveling. If you are reasonably level already, it gives you a bit more surface area, juts as a single block would do. We felt that they just took a step away from our process and they look a bit cleaner.

We really hadn’t planned on any GD rallies this year. We figured it was too late. Do you know which dates are there for MI? We will be somewhat close at the beginning of May. We are planning to attend the Hershey RV Show and MAYBE..maybe Tampa RV Show. We thought about trying something new, like a Lippert or Escapees. Lol. We just aren’t put together well this year.

A Sloppy Joe is ground meat in a sweetened and seasoned tomato sauce, often with a few chopped Vegetables like onions, bell peppers or tomatoes, slapped on a bun. It is served in school cafeterias pretty often. Manwich is another name, or a brand name used for it as well. There is likely another name for it.

A friend at a campground told us about something that happened there. A young couple were probably camping for the lst time in their Pop Camper. Late in the eveniing they came falling out of the bed side of the camper. (naked) kThey had forgotten to put the support bars under the pop up slide. !!! Not funny for them.
