Hossa REALLY deserved a cup this year. The raw talent between him and Datsyuk was just absurd to watch.

I agree but remember Hossa was HORRIBLE in the playoffs. It is, IMO, hossa fault we didn’t win.

@@timmyjohnson1195 I think injuries played a much bigger role. Hossa played with one shoulder. Datsyuk could only walk on one leg, Zetterberg's back was messed up, and Lidstrom had a foot problem.

Yeah Hosea was good. But I think Holmstrom is such an underrated player. Love that guy so much! The abuse he takes and sacrifice he makes in front of the net is unreal!!

This was the team that really engaged me into hockey. I miss Hossa, only year with the Wings and had a 40 goal season.

He jynxed the wings. Season before he left the penguins and said he wanted to play for a team that was going to win the cup. Came to Detroit played the same team he left and what happened??

Rewatching this makes me really sad that we signed Franzen long term instead of Hossa. The chemistry between Hossa and Datsyuk was unbelievable.

Right? Look at Hossa after that season...and look at franzen! Even Detroit makes a mistake from time-to-time. Regrettably it's a shame it involved Hossa.

Um this is nuts. They weren’t even in the same price range, and franzen easily scored more playoff goals than Hossa did. The shame is Franzens concussion issues. Hossa also saw his career cut short.

We can all Monday morning/2015 morning Quarterback the Hossa/Franzen decision. But after watching this video how could you not as a Wings GM offer The Mule the big contract first? After this season it looked like they where the same players, plus #93 was coming off one of the greatest playoff seasons of all time. How could you not do what Kenny did?
