She didn't know he was going to perform, she was surprised. Back story to their friendship, David would only sign a record deal if they took him to see his favourite female singer. Unbeknown Tina was signing in a small venue near the record company. David then asked the record producer to sign her up. The record producer took two other artists to see her and asked what they thought. She was signed up and Pete Townsend of the Who wrote her a song for the rock opera Tommy to put her back into the public view and the rest is history

Tina Turner was my first idol when I was 4 years old. Yes you read right. I was born in 1983. She is spectacular and the most unique thing in live popular music ever I swear. Love her to death. Will be a sad day the day we know she is gone.

Have you watched him perform Heroes live yet? Where are we now is a fantastic song or slip away from his later music as this is often overlooked by reactors. He was simply the best (pun intended). Can't wait for more Bowie reactions!!

This song was the next song (after an intermission) Tina performed after ‘it’s only love’ with Brian Adams. She certainly got dressed up a little for David. Check out the backstory to this song, very sad.

Bowie was a great singer watch the Serious Moonlight tour concert from 1983. there aren't many live videos of him because he did most of his best things in the 70s. You can watch the birthday party concert of 1997 if you can find it.

Just like you and me, David Bowie himself admired Tina Turner, like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Janis Joplin, not to mention Cher. That is relevant colleagues, to mention a few.
