I saw him live at a small strip bar in New Haven, Ct back in '97. Black Crows were the opening act and once they're done a big group of high school kids left, so you could get as close to the stage as you like . I guess they came only for the opening act. Black Crows were hot at that time plus not too many American kids knew Michael Schenker. And that exactly was what I did... standing only ten feet away from my guitar hero watching him play all my favorite songs including the ones from his earlier time with UFO. Lucky me ...

Wow, what an atmosphere! Despite so many guys jamming on stage, they sound musically perfect, just as good a a studio recording. I was at an Iron Maiden concert in Spain last summer (Murcia). I was at the queue for the bar before the gig when this song came on. I obviously didn’t want to miss the start, but also needed a cold beer to help Quench my thirst in the hot Spanish Sun. Trouble was I didn’t have the Spanish to tell the guy in front of me to hurry up. So I got inspiration and said the only thing I could think. I tapped him on the shoulder and said ‘Dude, Doctor Doctor’. He looked at me in about 2 seconds time it registered. He got it and was happy to move aside and all was good in the world.
