We lost a star to the heavens when this man died. I sang in a Black Sabbath tribute band in the 80's that was mostly Ozzy, but we never failed to get requests for this particular song. It's my favourite song with Ronnie James Dio in Sabbath, and it's the best one in my opinion. Here is a legend among legends who will be greatly missed by the fans who loved him..myself definately included! NOBODY BELTS IT OUT LIKE HE DID, and NOBODY ever will again.

Do ya know what - Dio has to be highly commended for doing this tour as he was very gravely ill as we all know - I saw them on this tour & it was truly amazing to say the least - I got to meet the band & had pics taken but Dio did not appear - he was again very ill/tired & couldn't face it afterwards & not so long after(can't remember time span) he passed - a true showman right until the end doing what he truly loved & not letting the fans down in the face of adversity - x x

He almost stopped playing when he was younger, because he cut the the tips of two of his fingers on his fret hand off in a sheet metal accident. He picked it back up after hearing Django Reinhardt and learning that Django only had lost the use of two of his fret fingers and kept playing, after that Tony had leather extensions made to wear on his finger so he could keep playing.

The Greatest guitar player on Earth, and Possibly the greatest singer on earth at the same time, you have to love it. I was there seeing them live at the Heaven and Hell concerts. You need volume and air movement of large speakers to get the true feel of the music pounding through your chest. Hard to do at home and ear buds don't even qualify.

Great musicians/band. Geezer Butler never seems to be mentioned amongst the greats,for some reason..Hell of a player. Never forget seeing the Sabbath while touring the Heaven and Hell album. Incredible.

Ronnie James Dio is the greatest heavy metal singing that I have ever watched. I saw him with Black Sabbath, and on his solo tours. All total, about six shows. I greatly miss watching him on stage. He was always crystal clear, and loud, just as he should be. R.I.P. Ronnie, you are missed.
