I have two sports and now a base camp. I think the sports have better stock suspension travel but the base camp is much smoother for crawling

the trxxas is a money pump for me and it has many more faults than the Axial. I have both and frankly out of the box without any mods or change of parts I prefer the Axial.

Those two screw holes your hand touched while wishing they mounted the battery in the front is indeed meant for the battery tray to be relocated towards the front. I did it on mine after 20 mins of driving it and it made a huge difference.

I love my scx24 and definitely want a basecamp but the trx4 looks good too

Lots of complaints about the base camp body being boring. In my opinion that’s a positive. Anyone who uses this knows it’s getting banged up, dragged across the rocks etc. when I go out I’m not concerned about beating up the truck , scratches , marks . It’s nice to just focus on what you’re doing, testing the capabilities of the truck .
