Good day General! Thanks to your fantastic videos I also bought A&A 1940 Pacific, so I can now join the two theaters and "go global"! I just wanted to ask your advice on the right amount of accessories you think are needed for an optimized game experience: I've seen that Historical Board Games has a wide range of items (and of course I will buy the factory set and battle bucks) but I really can't decide on the quantity of flight stands and additional military units... GeneralHandGrenade Right on. we had a EE teacher in my sophomore year that used to bring a different pointer in everyday. he kept having to up the anty until finally he brought in a chainsaw. needless to say every class in that hallway knew what had happened.

Where I live they are quite common. I have a cabin out at the lake where I go on weekends that uses wood heat. Trees blow down from time to time as well so if you have that lifestyle a chainsaw is as important as a grass skirt to a howlie like you :p

GHG, would you tell us what brand (or at least where to find them online) the plastic storage containers (i.e. at 22:34) with the dividers are? I use a lot of Plano branded ones for my other games, but they seem to be a poor size for A&A 1940. Thanks!

I got them at Home Hardware. That's a Canadian chain store. If you're not in Canada then I don't know where you would find this brand.

Good luck!. You will need about 60 of them. 80 would be even better but you can get away with 60.

Great video GHG on your Customizations! Did you realize that unfortunately the Union Jack is upside down?! I did mention it to Siredblood too as he was the designer! GHG, Question: Is there a video where you name/show the paints you use? I've noticed in your videos that your Shapeways pieces (factories, etc...) are painted the same color as the country pieces.

Hi Gijoe, I listed all of the paints that I'm using in this thread www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=39272.0 I thing that I learned is that you will want to spray them with some kind of base coat first. They tend to peel if you don't.

Hey GHG! Just went to hobby shop and bought some paints. In your forum post you mentioned not being happy with Italy paint. If that is still the case I may have found a match. TS-1 Red Brown. Haven't painted yet, but have Italy pieces sitting on the cap on the can and it seems to be spot on.

Yes I eventually came across that one as well. It is a perfect match. Don't forget to use a primer first or the paint will peel off. I made that mistake and had to redo them.

If you can get Krylon Brand Spray paint in Canada, then you're in luck. The company sells a Pumpkin Orange that I find matches the OOB Japanese color pretty well. The final color depends on if you've primed them first though or not as well as how heavy on the paint you are. Just a thought; anyhow, this is a nice video, thank you for the instructional how to's.

Unfortunately I don't think the merchant who sells them knows if they will ever be back in stock. Whoever is running FMG who makes the stands sure knows how to run a company into the ground.

GHG. HBG has Italian brown Mobile Artillery. Look at the German units section and select brown as your color instead of black.

oh...solution to your pumpkin orange problem is take a Japanese carrier to Home Depot Paint Counter. They can scan and match the color. use 2 coats and that will do it.
