Very solid ideas. I have never understood the way people freak out when you suggest just using regular dice instead of the special ones. You just make a conversion chart.

Great video! Great ideas! I hope you can offer some your products to the public. You should be put in charge of designing an ultra deluxe edition of AAA. Seriously.

oooooh, i like...all of it :) The boxes, the dice and the cards, customizing delux. And i agree; anything that can speed up the game is a plus, and i think everything should be concretized into physical objects; there should be absolutely no reason to confere with the rulebook during a game, even for beginners. Also, it is (or should be) the experienced players responsebility to make sure of this...
@siredblood7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Fenris! Rulebook breaks really bring down the games mojo... especially when someone cant even find what they are looking for lol..... with my deck, only once has someone challenged a rule on my cards, thus leading to a rulebook break.... only to find out we wasted 7 min to prove the cards don't lie.

Ok, like really, how big is your idea bucket for this game? Apparantly it is huge, and overfliwing because another great idea just fell out if it. Yet another great customization idea...at least I have other games that will work with my dice tower tray. +1 all-in-one dice tray +1 facilities minis, those look real cool! I've been using the grey complexes from later A&A games for majors. and the white ones from classic for minors. I came across some old city markers from Fortress America, thinking of using em for victory cities, and or some strategic bombing house rules(both sides at times simply targeted cities with little to none military value). Great vid again Sired, u never cease to impress.

Thanks Big E, I started the proto, I hope to post a vid on it tomorrow, see if its something the community would like or not..... also, toying with the idea of offering dice as well.

Hi Siredblood. I am just getting my global game and I find this video extremely helpful. Thanks. Good Job! I am going to be putting in an order with HBG for extra units. In your video you recommended at least 5 infantry for UK, USSR, USA, and Germany. Also extra AA Guns for Germany. What do you recommend is the ideal amount to buy for infantry or any other units so that I can get the order done all at once. Also, how many major, minor factories do you need to get? In HBG, they have these colored (by nation) factories. Do you think that is better than using the neutral colored factories? Why would you need colored factories? I would think neutral colored factories is better because you don't need to buy as many and you don't need to switch colors when territories changes hands, less work for the player. But what do you think? I am looking for the Airbase and Seaport plastic pieces and I guess I have to buy it from shapeways. How many Airbases and Seaports do you recommend to buy?
@kidzg68562 жыл бұрын
@Siredblood, I know that you molded, and casted your pieces, so what I'm saying is where did you get your Air Base/Naval Base pieces from?

I am a big fan of A&A players who design and build their own gaming table. Siredblood yours is one of the very best I have seen. I am designing the perfect table for me and my needs and I just wanted to ask you where you picked up the wooden disks for your abacus? I won a bag of the abacus beads that YG used on his table at the Invitational last year, but they are round and bulky. I like the slim and sleek design of the disks you used on your abacus. I really hope you didn't machine and shape each one yourself.

Thanks for the comment brother, I appreciate it! I got the beads at Michaels, unfortunately they are not cheap, think it was about 40 bucks, then I sanded some to easily see multiple of 5. Good luck with your project, send me a pic, or link me when done, I enjoy seeing others tables as well.

lol I made my own roundels, just glued a 3 or 4 together, made them double sided and coloured the sides with a black marker, they are nice and thick and look great, cost me nothing lol
@MightyfireflyAndme6 жыл бұрын
Can you recommend how many national markers that we need to buy to play a global 1940 game comfortably? Out of box we got: Italy: 20 France: 5 UK Union Jack: 2 UK Europe: 18 Anzac: 10 USA: 45 USSR: 20 Germany: 20 Japan: 40 Do we get the same amount or are some of those too much or too little?
@Alfreduss7 жыл бұрын
well, I just put a piece of wood glued under the cardboard bases (complexes, airbase and naval base) , they came from and old scrabble game. At least it makes it easy to move and pick up and also to know they are there.
@siredblood7 жыл бұрын
cool idea, like you said, at least its easier to pick up!

Which Risk game are those complex markers out of again? I been seeing em in a lot of different guys vids, just curious. You mention also molding and casting your facility pieces. I've used rubber/silicone molds and resin casts before, but am going to be trying out something new to me for my future molds and casts. Thought you may be interested. Green Stuff for casting and Blue Stuff for molding. What's cool about Blue stuff is that can repeatedly re-use it for different molds, just warm it up in hot water. Here's a link: www.greenstuffworld.com/en/reusable-blue-stuff/8-blue-stuff-mold-8-bars.html I hear it has great accuracy and works really well for minis with lots of detail.

@Siredblood: I found your DB page just fine, but the files are in a format that my computer can't open. Is there any way you could post the files on your DB but not zipped, at least for a day or two so I can DL them? My Winzip is not working, and has not worked for .rar files for ages... Thanks either way, and keep up the good work!
