Josh, my mentor my friend. I'm so sorry that now we can't connect about the old days in Bristol and New Hampshire. I would beg my mom to drive me to your hood with my bike stuffed in an '84 Honda Civic just so I could hang with you and your crew. Thanks for being so encouraging to me in those early years- you will be forever missed. You were always my favorite rider and had sooooo much style. You deserved every win. Rest in Power, King of the Flatland! 🖤

I remember my 10 year old me watched this and decided he was going to practice and be able to do it too. The truth is that it was much more difficult than I imagined. lol So many memories, man

I was looking through some VERY old folders in my pc when i found this video on MP4. Googled the title to see if there was any update on Axlepeg and i saw that his real name is Josh Marsele, i searched in youtube to see if there was anything posted under his name, only to find some old videos. I now came back to this video and looking through the comments i just learned he passed away, which results truly saddening because he inspired me to ride bmx when i was just 9 years old, man, i watched this video all the time and i would show it to everybody. On the bright side, im happy to see the legacy he created and left for the world, so many people connected through his riding and this single video. Ride in peace, Josh. You will not be forgotten.

I remember watching this probably about 10 years ago and it says the video was uploaded 15 years ago. That was when I didn’t even know what KZbin was for. I remember one of my friends showing me KZbin at his house probably 1516 or so years ago, and I remember saying who would use this like why would you want to put a video of yourself online? It didn’t make any sense to me at the time. Look at KZbin you have 20 year old kids making a living just acting goofy. If you don’t mind me asking how did he pass away?

This nostalgia is real, I remember me and my best friend would watch this video every weekend in the summer, we decided to ride to the nearest tennis court which was like a 2 hour ride to do some tricks, got all the way there and got kicked off within 5 minutes🤦🏽♂️

Been months seeing and learning flatland while I get started and practice, and I ever come back to see this video because more than just being good, he IS having fun, and so I do... Flatland is a big thing that's the ability of having total liberty of picking your bike and riding it any way you want, except sitting while pushing the pedals. Imagine the life, then ride your imagination... Flatland BMX.

I'm an old school BMXer, I'd even say old school purist, I've never liked the bikes with pegs or seats there just for decoration. But this was awesome to watch. I really liked him getting up on the handlebars, that's just insane!

i love this guy. Nothing but old school ground tricks which is all I care about. All other videos use new bikes with the same old tailwhips and no brakes. This guy should compete. Awesome old school bike too. The bust out flat tire is awesome at the end!!!! What are the chances that that would happen while he was being filmed. Great job man...keep up the old "freestylin"
